I forgot to post about this from back in March: I eventually received a new year’s postcard from Sanomaru, official mascot of Sano in Tochigi Prefecture.

I actually stayed in Sano for a few days, as it was near to Hanyu where the World Character Summit was, and cheap! Not the most exciting place on earth, but they do good ramen.
