In the BTS look for the Dragonpit scene, Lena said Cersei arrives with her queensguard and Jaime and the Mountain feeling powerful and all but then “realizes” D*ny isn’t there and it pisses her off.

If Cersei just then realizes D*ny isn’t there and it pisses her off because she was walking in self assured thinking she was gonna have all the power in this scene....then who was she talking about earlier to Qyburn when she said “Why isn’t she with them?”

This supports the theory that Cersei was talking about Sansa since Brienne and Pod had already arrived before the others.

Why Sansa isn't hiding in the crypts

So feeling like there's a serious possibility that we'll see some dead rising in the crypts of WF, feels like that is what Arya is running from in the trailer. We also see people hiding down there...but not Sansa.

How crazy would it be if part of the kidnapping plot actually kind of has Cereci's soldiers / golden company steal Sansa away and accidentally saving her life because of it! Jon might still think she's down in the crypts and angst when everyone down there are dead. Or we could see him rushing down there just as they're about to destroy/seal the entrance...showing everyone who he really loves....

okay but has anyone ever thought about how like Cersei Lannister might actually be better on the Iron Throne for the North than Daenerys? I know, I know, but hear me out... 

Cersei understands that the North cannot be held by an outsider. It’s too big and too wild. She gives this advice to Joffrey in season one. 

She wasn’t all that bothered at the moment by Jon Snow wanting to be King in the North. She basically wanted to deal with Daenerys and have the North stay out of it, and then she’d deal with them later. He’s a familiar enemy - one with weapons and goals she understands. Also, his ambitions have a cap: the North. 

Cersei is in a position of great weakness right now, which means she might be willing to strike a deal with the King/Queen in the North and allow them their freedom.  In the eventuality of war, the  North would have an easier time preparing for war against Cersei’s forces than atomic bombs (dragons). 

Daenerys is unwilling to see a possibility in which she gives away part of her kingdom. She wants to rule all seven kingdoms whether or not that is what is best for those kingdoms truly because she believes she DESERVES that power due to her “birthright.” Cersei basically just wants to not die and not lose completely - she knows that sometimes you have to give and then struggle to take it back later. 

Daenerys is hard to negotiate with because she doesn’t understand the customs or culture of the North. She also views herself as the savior and rightful ruler, and she believes people should WANT to serve her and crown her queen. You tell her the  North wants independence and she’s just like in denial, can’t comprehend, like it’s a different language. 

Cersei can negotiate and compromise. She understands that a birthright does not mean anything - power means something. She scratched and crawled her way up to power with the rest of her family, and that’s how she has ended up with her ass on the throne... through striking deals, paying in gold, and being one step ahead of the game.

So imagine a kidnapping plot that actually ends in Cersei Lannister and Sansa Stark teaming up against Daenerys Targaryen. Pretty fucking dope right? 

I think this could be really cool and could work because while I don’t think Sansa or Cersei will ever trust each other, they also understand each other and what the other person truly wants. 

They both can see the benefit of keeping each other alive as long as it will benefit them... Cersei already did that with Sansa before, and she even wanted to keep Ned Stark alive so that there wouldn’t be terrible unrest in the North. Sansa kept Littlefinger by her side while he was useful... until he started going after Jon and Arya. 

Daenerys doesn’t see the benefit of keeping her enemies alive if they won’t bow to her... that’s why she burned the Tarlys alive. 

Also Dany effectively has a nuclear bomb... and that’s a pretty good reason for enemies to work together.

Anybody know if king’s landing scenes were shot exclusively in croatia during GoT? Which settings were filmed in spain, or do they just have a studio or something there?

And which other cast members filmed scenes for s8 in spain? 

*Edit: i’ve just read that dragonstone was filmed in spain .. so i guess sansa goes to dragonstone!

Two things in s7 that really pushed me towards the kidnapping plot were:

“I, too, would like [the Golden Company] to recover some things that belong to me.”

“They want another Stark prisoner, they can come and take me.”

I’m not sure how I feel about the kidnapping plot yet tbh. I just hope that if it does happen, Sansa isn’t helpless and actually helps save herself. Also, I’m really really DYING to see a Cersei/Sansa confrontation (it’s needed and a long time coming) so this would give me that. But my personal feelings aside, I do see a lot of breadcrumbs hinting towards that plot and it would make narrative sense.

I really kinda want a Cersei kidnapping Sansa plot. 

Where Jon goes into rage mode and no one understands why he can’t think clearly as KITN and is abandoning the fight against the NK to save his sister when other people could go. 

And who else would go on this rescue mission? Well of course, Arya isn’t going to leave her sister in Cersei’s clutches or refuse the opportunity to kill Cersei. Jaime would know KL and Cersei best & therefore have a way in while also having a shot at honor by saving Sansa. Brienne would obvs go on the rescue mission too - enough said. Would Sandor go? Well who else is going to face the Mountain? 

Who stays in WF? Ser Davos, Bran (the token Stark even though he’s the Three-Eyed Raven now), Sam, Tyrion, Varys, Dany, 

I admit it makes very little sense for Jon, Arya, and Sansa to be away from WF when they have very dangerous guests & they need to prepare for war with the NK. Plus Jon is kinda the only one controlling/reasoning with Dany right now and is a big reason she even came North in the first place... rushing off after his sister risks her changing her mind. 

BUT IMAGINE. 

All the Jon rage that doesn’t quite make sense & people take notice especially Jaime (and later Cersei). 

Arya and Cersei face-off. 

Cersei appraising Sansa for her new queenliness and basically being Cersei 2.0 but with a glow up of personality 

Sansa saving herself & a face-off with Cersei. 

Cersei realizing Jon and Sansa have feelings for each other and pointing it out to them! 

Cersei realizing Jaime betrayed her and Cersei’s ultimate demise by the hands of her younger brother! 

Cleganebowl. 

Maybe even Dany brings her dragons South to KL bc she wants to rescue Jon and without his influence her focus is drawn back to Cersei and her armies who maybe just took back some land & in her anger she like levels KL to the ground and almost kills everyone?

Do you believe in the Sansa’s kidnapping theory? How will it play out in your opinion?

Hi there Anon,

I’m not sure if I believe in that theory. Truthfully, I’m undecided about it.

It’s possible if you consider the leaked pictures of Jon meeting up with Cersei in Kings Landing. And besides if the YAMBQ theory indicates Sansa, there’s gotta be a way for Sansa and Cersei to come face to face and we all know that Sansa’s never willingly going to step foot into Kings Landing.

As to how it will play out, I can envisage only two possible scenarios and I must warn you that these are just a random guess and I could be terribly off track. This could as well be in the realm of fan fiction so please forgive me.

Scenario 1:

We all know that Jamie is headed north despite knowing that Cersei doesn’t plan to send the Lannister Army north as per her promise. Not just us, but I’m assuming that Cersei’s aware of this fact too and has a very good idea about the political implications of a no show.

It will not just make her appear less or not at all committed to the cause of protecting the people but may not give her ample time to smuggle the golden company into Kings Landing in case Dany decides to fly south upon hearing her real plan or at least sends a portion of her army to take over Kings Landing.

So we may get a scenario in which perhaps to everyone’s surprise including Jamie’s, the Lannister army does indeed arrive north at an opportune moment at Cersei’s order and aid the cause of the fight against the dead.

Cersei herself will not come north but will give instructions along the lines of...

If the dead win and head south, she’ll probably surround herself with water on all sides, lol

If the living defeat the dead, she’ll need leverage.

What will make the king in the north, stay in the north?

Or rather what will make him bend to her wishes?

If she has the key to the north - Sansa Stark as her political prisoner once again.

That’ll make Jon reconsider his decision to ally with the foreign queen against Cersei.

So even before the victorious living return from battle, Sansa is kidnapped and taken to Kings Landing.

But what Cersei hasn’t bargained for is that Sansa is not the same girl she was, she doesn’t know she’s on Arya’s kill list and she doesn’t know that Jon is heir to the iron throne and half Targaryen.

Disadvantages of this scenario:

Sansa being captive in Kings Landing didn’t stop Robb from waging a war against the Lannisters and Cersei knows this. Jon is after all Sansa’s half brother, so why will Cersei believe that he’ll act differently? (Unless she’s his wife already which I highly doubt is possible)

How many men will remain in the north after the Great War to participate in another war in the south? Will they have the morale to do so? So in that case, should Cersei be even worried about the northern army?

Scenario 2:

Sansa makes a devil’s deal with Cersei allowing herself to be taken captive in return for something ( I honestly don’t know what) just like she did with LF.

Well in that case I wouldn’t be particularly worried. Cause we all know how LF met his end.

Problems with this (very half baked) scenario:

What could Cersei have that Sansa would want desperately? Enough to turn herself over?

Wildfire?? Something qyburn discovers??

But honest to god, I personally don’t like the idea of Sansa being kidnapped once again.
