Thiiiis is not exactly how I wanted it to look - tho I am surprised that Fili looks okayXD But I digress! In my head Fili is a firm candidate to befriending Frerin - with Kili stuck to their dad and bothering Mahal, - he will want to know the stories about young Thorin - because he can't believe his uncle was more of a troublemaker than him and his bro - so he goes to Frerin and asks for stories. And Frerin supplies those with glee. And they start to relate to one another - both being brohers to very stubborn, driven Dwarves. And maybe Fili can understand the fear and pain of losing a brother that plagues Frerin.
But he still won't call him "Uncle" XD ...maybe a Little Uncle:D
