"Come on! Join me!" he says with a smile as he takes hold of Steam's hands and pulls her gently towards him "this is my favorite song you know?"

Uh oh… Dancing… and a slow dance at that? I’m doomed, she thought. Ronald pulled her in without warning and she was not prepared for it at all. Managing an unsure smile, Steam looked straight at him and questioned his choice of a dance partner. 

“H-Hey Ronnie, you said this is your favourite song right? Won’t it be better to choose someone else? Dancing isn’t a skill that I have. Your toes will be in danger. I’m no proper lady.”

It’s a few minutes to knock off time and there are at least three more documents to look over before Steam can call it a day. It is totally manageable, she thought, diving back into focus. In all honesty, paperwork is just not enjoyable. Modifying and repairing death scythes, just gives such a sense of satisfaction! Part by part, piecing the pieces together, from scraps to completion. The possibilities are endless. 

As she was about to file away the last document, within her line of sight, a bouquet of yellow has been placed on her desk. First off, did not expect a bouquet. Secondly, whoever it is, somehow knew sunflowers were her favourite. Which is surprising, it was an unimportant fact about her preferences so Steam had never told anyone about it. The probability of it being her favourite was more likely to be by chance. 

Looking up from her seat, Ronald was already here to pick her up for their um.. “date”. Steam was not prepared at all.

“You sure are quick, having time to get a bouquet after work and all. Guess you didn’t go into overtime today.”

When Ronald called out to her, Nix halted and turned around to face him. Before she could ask what he wished to discuss, he reached out to tuck a pink flower into her hair; behind the ear. Judging by its appearance, it was a camellia and quite a pretty one at that. This gesture caused a bright blush to settle on her cheeks as she looked up at the man before her. “Thank you so much, Ronald! That’s very sweet of you.. How does it look? Do I look silly with it in my hair?”

“You don’t need to repay me, Ronald! Plus I don’t really drink alcohol if that’s what you meant.. How about I make us some tea instead? There are several different kinds of blends here if you prefer a specific kind.”
