Back in January I got to go camping in Santa Barbara. I grew up not too far from there so the place is rich with memories starting from when I was a kid to later meeting my future wife while going to college there. Anyway, I really love the nature in that area, the oak trees, sandstone and chaparral feel like home. My best friend drove down and met me at the campground. Always nice to watch the stars come out a few IPAs deep sitting in the warmth of a campfire.
After he went home I ran up the trail to a little hotspring (my favorite warmspring) and soaked alone in the morning for a while. Driving back home I couldn't help but revel in how clear my mind was, sometimes the best feeling is just being awake in the morning.

Deadly armed militants in the Niger Delta region at the weekend continued to unleash attacks on barges and boats along Nembe waterways in Bayelsa, abducting six oil workers and four policemen.
