Three people in and Marley wasn’t too sure how something like this could ever work. Five minutes felt simultaneously like too much and not enough time at all--though with the last three people she’d been sat across from, she certainly felt the former. Still, a smile was kept on her face, not too caught up in the seriousness she knew some people were taking to. It was supposed to be fun, after all. The worst that could happen was an awkward five minute encounter, and the best? Maybe she’d be bringing somebody home with her tonight. Either way, it was all pretty low stakes for the blonde, who watched the shuffle of individuals until one was sat across from her. Her grin brightened. “And how’s this been goin’ for you so far?”
Did this all count as dating? It seemed as if this was dating. Phobe wasn’t the type to date, in fact, she was certain that she never had a proper date. The only thing that she was interested in was fucking and that hasn’t changed at all. As soon as she stepped foot into Dylan’s there was only one place that she wanted to go. Heading straight to their bar it didn’t take long for her to take a shot of vodka in an attempt to loosen herself up. Turning her head to catch a glimpse of another person her nails tapped her empty glass. “Wanna take the next round with me?”
Alec felt like he looked like he was in mourning. And well, maybe he was. In mourning for his ridiculously sad love life that was, as the FRIENDS theme song went, DOA. The green shirt (Adam’s insistence, not his) was hidden by his black jacket, paired with the black jeans seemed to give off the vibe that he was funeral bound instead of party bound. Either way, he had his coffee spiked with vodka, and he was looking at the person next to him, managing a smile, “Hi. Coffee? Or...coffee vodka? Never too early to drink, right?”
"Holy shit.” Huffed laughter passed through Victor’s lips, his eyes widened in disbelief at the sight of the phone in his hands. It wasn’t the device itself that’d caused the reaction, but the stream of notifications blowing it up, the vibrations sounding non-stop from his hand. He’d never seen anything like it--not even when a Youtube cover of his had gone semi-viral. His phone was all but rendered useless to him, in the moment, and yet he could not bring himself to tear his eyes away. His first live performance with Reckless had been over for hours, but it was the first chance Vic had received to take a minute to assess the response. Though riding on the tail ends of the adrenaline rush being up on stage in front of that many people had brought on, it was beginning to fade, his nerves returning with it. “I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that they figured out who I was that fast, huh?” A sheepish smile pulled on Vic’s lips as he finally looked up from his phone.
Parties were something that Bree always did well. At this point in her life it was almost like a talent. The event for the night being an ABC party was right up her alley. Over the course of the four years she’d spend in university, the blonde had been to her fair share of parties that had the same theme. In fact she still had an outfit that she had made back then to attend one. A fake leaf bra held together by stretchy string that had been taken off of a green bikini top. And a matching skirt that she’d made with the other string. Walking along the beach, Bree spotted someone she knew and headed over. Twirling around in a circle once she got to them. “So what do you think? Hot right?”
“Do you want to shove your key in my lock?” Kessa asked as she tapped the person in front of her on the shoulder when she noticed they were wearing a key around their neck. Realizing how awkward it came off, she held up her lock for extra affect. She’d been walking around the bakery for the past five minutes trying to get everyone she could see with a key to shove it into her lock to see if it actually unlocked. “I mean we should at least see if we’re a match right?”

Presenting, Summer Crush. A week-long event, sponsered by several of Santa Monica’s local businesses. This engaging week is sure to be full of fun, entertainment, and, if you’re lucky, romance.
REMINDERS:
This event will start on Monday, May 27th and go until Saturday, June 1st. In roleplay time this will be a week long as well.
The tag for the event will be santamevent1. Everything from pictures, outfits, threads, and etc all need to be under the tag. Starters should have both the santamstarter and santamevent1 tags.
Pairings/free for alls will be announced at Midnight EST each night. Please check the main every day so you can see your latest pairings.
We will have daily posts letting you know what is happening that day as well. Those will also be released at Midnight EST.
This event is NOT mandatory, but we do encourage you to participate. If you will be out for whatever reason or don’t want to be involved in pairings please let us know immediately.
Any big plots should be discussed with the admins before playing them out on the dash. If you have any big plots you want to do let us know.

Couple Cabana - Each day Daily Pier will announce their favorite couple of the day and they’ll be offered a private couples Cabana to relax and have dinner in.
Hook up huts - These are official hook up spots that are open 24/7. They will be located on the beach and have privacy doors. Sheets will be changed after each encounter.
Daily Breakfast will be offered in each Fantasy Suite and the Couple Cabana. There will be break offered at Lucy’s Cafe every morning for those of you who didn’t get lucky.
