Fun fact: Santa Claus was once depicted in a variety of outfits, but his red suit became ubiquitous due to the popularity of Coca-Cola's Christmas advertisements.

This year, I wanted to bring back my recurring Christmas character, Santavee. But seeing as how Coke has fumbled the Christmas ball two years in a row, I thought maybe they didn't deserve the suit-based product placement this time around.

So we're doing RC Cola blue instead.

Santavee was late this year, and is very sorry about that.

At least half the time when I’m drawing my almost-annual Santavee, I give her a belt, only to remember halfway through that she has never worn a belt. This time I just decided to keep it on.

The santavee I posted the other day is the fifth one I’ve done, but only four were on this site. Here’s the original, which is older than my tumblr.

This year’s Santavee is lazy because I waited too long to start working on it. Quick vector shading and a recycled background. Though once it’s printed out on a greeting card it doesn’t look too bad.
