This golden Eevee was a tentative avatar idea from awhile ago.
More WIP. You'll get context eventually.
Drew this in 2024 to celebrate 200 watchers on DeviantArt.
Reposting tonight to celebrate 200 followers on Tumblr. Hooray!
WIP. Sneasler shouldn't be that big, but I like the "elbow on Weavile's head" visual too much to correct it.
Turns out real life Lopunny is intimidating in a kangaroo sorta way.
Periodic mediocre attempt at drawing something anthro.
The year is 1999. It is the apex of human civilization.
Seven years from now, Lopunny will be starting her new job at the Pokémon Company. Today, she is enjoying some Gran Turismo 2.
Life is good.
The cropped Beetle. Possibly the most '1999' car in existence, it was in just about every video game at the time (including its own N64 game). It was the Pikachu car, it was the Geek Squad car, thing was everywhere.
In real life, I bought a poster of one at the Scholastic Book Fair that year.

I've been doing some polishing of Pokemon Red/Blue's tile sets.
The roofs of Pokemon Tower and Pewter Museum no longer repeat strangely.
Saffron City houses and Oak's Lab are no longer half brick, half siding.
Fuchsia City Gym is no longer half brick, half siding.
Decided to play into Lavender Town's not-a-city nature by giving its Pokemon Center and PokeMart a more rustic appearance.
The infamous Vermilion Port truck now blends with its surroundings instead of looking pasted-in. Also employed some unused piling tiles to tighten up the decor.
Added the missing shadow in front of the Indigo PokeMart's counter. The shaded leftmost portions of Pokemon Center and PokeMart counters now have more definition.
I don't have plans to include the Fennekin line in the romhack I'm messing around with, but I felt like trying out a Gen 1-style Braixen sprite anyway. Squeezed it into the medium-size 48x48 bounding box.
You know, Magmar isn't used by a single NPC trainer in Red/Blue. It's rare, version-exclusive, not encountered till late game. If I wanted to, I could just...
No one will ever know!

Some doodles from 2010ish.

Maractus sprite squished down to Game Boy proportions/color limitations. It was a pain getting the left ear(?) to fit within the bounding box for the back sprite.
I ended up doing both versions.
