I’m looking for writing partners interested in a fandomless, late Victorian roleplay set within the walls of a private asylum, one of those institutions that prides itself on refinement, discretion, and “modern” treatment… at least on the surface.
My character, Simonetto (male, 19), is a young nobleman committed by his family due to a vague and troubling “sickness of the mind.” He is prone to hysteria, deep melancholy, and volatile manic episodes—whether these are genuine afflictions or something else, of course, open to interpretation.
The asylum itself is well-appointed and indulgent in its comforts, but beneath that polished exterior lies something far less compassionate. The staff are not always what they seem, and the line between treatment and cruelty is… dangerously thin.

Roles I’m looking for:
A younger doctor or nurse (+25)
Someone perceptive, perhaps conflicted, aware that something is wrong in the way patients are handled, and struggling (or trying) to change it.
An older doctor or nurse (+45)
Experienced, respected, and deeply unsettling. Someone who not only accepts the system but thrives within it—taking a particular interest in their patients as subjects of study... or worse.
Other patients
Fellow residents of the asylum, each with their own stories, delusions, lucidity, and secrets. Allies, rivals, or something in between.

Tone & Themes:
This RP leans heavily into psychological horror, decay, and moral ambiguity. Maybe even supernatural themes if that's more your alley.
“Dead dove” themes are absolutely welcome.
Smut is optional, not required—but I’m open to it where it feels natural and contributes to the dynamic.
What I’m looking for in partners:
Strong, immersive writing
I value quality over quantity, but I *do* want depth—internal thoughts, emotions, atmosphere, and the things that make characters feel alive.
Consistency
At least one post every ~10 days. Life happens, I get it—just communicate if you need to step away.
Enthusiasm
I may not be the most expressive OOC, but I need partners who are engaged, interested, and willing to build something together. Dry, one-word responses or lack of engagement won’t work for me.
