Bug of the Day
Really glad this elm borer (Saperda tridentata) was still at the light when I went to shut things down in the wee hours, because I totally boffed the shots I took of it during the first round.

Really glad this elm borer (Saperda tridentata) was still at the light when I went to shut things down in the wee hours, because I totally boffed the shots I took of it during the first round.
I just reblogged that long post abt bug etomology so I figured I'd share my freshly finished elm borer! I was gonna wait till it healed but oh well. Outside pic is a mock-up of what I wanted it to look like and next to it is an in-progress pick in similar lighting. I am v pleased and about ready to tattoo someone other than myself, I think :)
It’s really slow at work today so i did a color mockup for my Saperda tridentata tattoo.
