Silver and saphiret locket (at Boylerpf)
Saphiret is a sapphire blue glass mixed with gold that flashes brown/pink/red at various angles. Early versions contained more gold, exhibiting deeper pinks and more vibrancy, and were often faceted. The rising price of gold saw the end of production by the 1950s, making it pretty rare and exceedingly collectible. Since the 1940s, sappharine, a less expensive alternative, has sometimes been used.
