Got a good swath of characters but if y’all are looking for STP specifically I’ll have Voicelings & Borrowed Paths up later; Shrew and Alchemist up now (and I think also my Smitten & Hunted). And I’ll be putting up my new Thorn FicHeartSona I’ve been playing around with.

No guaranteed revenges and entering the game late, but! I wanna at least try something if I can. Still recovering from Furality & work tho so it’ll probably be light. I’ll make sure to comment on all art I get ✨

Woooo SIX in one, across the three prompt lists I’m doing AND they’re all from the same days as each other??? Tbh I’m here for it. It certainly won’t happen again, and I already almost didn’t finish this one. Lighting really saved it.

For those wondering what’s going on:

Witch & Damsel are teenage lovers within the storyline of Borrowed Paths, but are met with the cruel reality that people harm others for the mere sake of it. Damsel is a Princess in a nearby kingdom who discovers her tiny Fae girlfriend entirely by chance, and the two of them bond over rebelling against the enforced safety of their worlds. However, when humanity is on the hunt for Fae, they unwittingly use Damsel as the key to wreak havoc. And while all is by mere chance, Witch can’t help but feel betrayed; that her lover was the key to the downfall of her world, and everyone in it.

Five minute, from-memory doodles for how the Panda Ant is getting to the @voice-of-the-sexyman tournament. Just as Contrarian willed it. Contra is helping Broken out from his forest wares shop because the little guy was too nervous to ask the mods; he’ll be just fine with it comes to meeting other serva— I mean contestants! Yes!

Broken May do well with some company. Besides Contrarian, the others tend to avoid him for… Lore reasons…

It’s That Time Agaiiin!

Depression is often referred to as the “Black Dog,” and with Tower’s perception of him as such it made sense to add in a bit of canid flair to my Broken. But, being the weird animal enthusiast I am, I decided to add a little more to that concept: introducing:

The Panda Ant!

This specific insect is actually a species of wasp, where the female’s sting is so agonizing it is often referred to as The Cow Killer. But being that males don’t have this, they’re perfect for a power grab: holding danger with no risk of being stung. Pretty fitting, eh?

Was going to save this one for the bracket open-up, but I think it makes more sense if I put my best foot forward in the lore department first! The Voices are kinda a side show to the Princesses in @on-borrowed-paths, but like the other exceptions (Smitten, Hunted + Quiet himself), Broken’s role is… Interesting.

The “Construct’s” pantheon in OBP is separated out between two forces: The Networked Wild, and the Tower. And the two do not necessarily see eye to eye.

Wild is rooted to the earth, where Tower guards the skies. Wild is an active force; Tower is an overseer. Nature and industrial innovation. Where one prefers to get her hands dirty, the other merely points and directs, keeping her hands pristine. And thus, they need their own scouts and informants to help bridge their differences.

Broken was carved out with the benefits of both. His wasplike attributes provide the strength and endurance of Wild’s mouselike Fae, while his canid form proves his loyalty as a servant to someone larger. Towering over the Fae and cowering beneath Her Radiance, Broken is equipped with the unique mindset of both size vantages at once. So when forces attempt to break that balance, this mediator has his own ways of making people talk. A dog’s bark may be worse than his bite, but a panda ant’s sting is the rival to those fifty times their size. I’d tread carefully, if I were you.

(Designer’s note: he’s also designed to be viewed more canid from above and wasp from below! So this was a fun exercise).

It’s that time again! @voice-of-the-sexyman

This gave me a good excuse to overhaul my Broken design. Continuing with my original concept of the infamous “black dog of depression,” I decided to infuse it with a little bit of weird animal flair. The Panda Ant, a species of parasitic wasp, has a sting so painful it is referred to as the Cow Killer. But a winged male poses no direct threat of this nature, making power bluffs like Tower’s a safe venture. May still be wise to look out for the Blade hovering above his tail, though…

The game plan really is just “rizz em with the tism,” huh?

Secret Slayer gift for @saracat228 !

I saw you had interest in the Demo Voices and hiiii. Mr. Obsession Man you have my stupid little heart. I hope it’s ok if I did my own design for him; this is technically his Pre-Fused Wild form but I will be def doing some of that later. Tried some things with text & textures and I think it turned out p ok.

Obsessed to me is like. This roaming, stumbling bear of a man. Actively chasing after the princesses diligently, seeming to miss his mark even though he’s a beast unto himself. Because of course, he was Beast’s foil. And with his basis on something akin to Captain Ahab and serving as essentially Beta Hunted/Stubborn, his persistence and instinct to survive by perpetuating the cycle of violence is unrivaled.

I am a little late bc I wanted to do some sketches of designs but hiii expect those later hopefully bc I have. Many thoughts on this stupid lil man. And I am happy to hear others.
