Sorry to bother you, I've just become recently obsessed with Padme and her handmaidens and all that and was wondering what your favorite headcanons or moments are for them?
:0 What a great question oh my gosh!! Not a bother at all, you’ve definitely come to the right place ❤❤ And even though we don’t have that many canon moments with the handmaidens, my favorites are:
When Sabé, in disguise as the Queen, tells Padmé to clean Artoo and the fact that Rabé is trying SO hard not to laugh behind her;
Rabé’s head tilt when she’s concentrating on something!!
The fact that Eirtaé is the only blonde handmaiden, like what is she doing, I love her;
Watching this group of 14-year-old girls break into their own palace and take back their planet;
Dormé and Padmé’s farewell in AOTC (although I really, really wish we could have seen them mourn Cordé after her death… a missed opportunity to develop the handmaidens’ relationships with each other, imo)
And I have approximately a BILLION headcanons for them - I have hc posts for Moteé, Ellé, Rabé, Eirtaé, and Sabé:
Sabé and Padmé being in a very serious relationship before her assignment to the Senate and having a not-so-clean breakup, but eventually they become close friends again;
Sabé, Rabé, and Eirtaé working for the Royal Naboo Intelligence Agency after Padmé leaves;
Rabé, tiny sweetheart, is the weapons and combat expert and LOVES to spar;
Eirtaé is a Veruna, and her older brother, Ari, was King before Padmé;
Ellé has approximately four GFFA PhD and/or higher education degrees (she is very smart), and is working towards at least one more during ROTS;
The handmaidens basically being trained as spies/assassins and yet appearing completely harmless;
Obi-Wan thinking of them as little sisters, because they spent so much time together on the royal barge in TPM while Padmé and Qui-Gon were away (this one was @ghastlyshilo‘s and I really love it ❤❤)
But I think my favorite headcanon is just how WELL the Sabé, Rabé, and Eirtaé would get along with the 501st - some better than others; looking at you, Rabé - because they all know what it’s like to be part of a near-identical group of brothers and sisters, and are all incredibly dedicated and well-trained in their respective positions.
