Dear Charlie,

It has been two months since my now ex-girlfriend broke it off with me and I don’t know what to feel.. We were together for almost 2 years and although I thought the breakup was a possibility I didn’t really see it coming.. Each day I have a different feeling towards her and the breakup; some days I think of her and feel happy and glad that I know her, even if I can’t have her as my own; some days I think of her and feel angry, at myself and at her; and some days I think of her and I feel depressed, like I’ll never have that again.. I broke my “year and a half clean” record a few weeks after it happened when i was having one of the bad days… I don’t know why I can’t just feel one thing towards her and it frustrates me, just as I think I’m getting over it I end up feeling like shit again. I guess I should be glad that I can still be friends with her but sometimes that doesn’t feel like it’s enough after what we had and it hurts..
