Why A Sibling’s Wish is so important.
I don’t usually write stuff like this but I think the fandom needs to understand why A Siblings Wish is such an important charity and why 1DNDA has supported it since it’s inception and will continue to do so.
In May 2016 1DNDA posted this article about Harvey on their website.

It in great detail summed up just Harvey Hext was and exactly what the charity his Mum Sarah was setting up was all about.
It started a positive and lasting relationship with Sarah Hext and A Sibling’s Wish.
With Sarah’s blessing, 1DNDA started a small charity drive for Harvey’s birthday to raise funds for Solving Kids Cancer. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/one-direction-nda1
In July 2016 when A Sibling’s Wish became an officially registered charity they did another article about how people could help the charity. This was so important as it detailed exactly what the charity aimed to do and how they were aiming to help children who had sadly lost a sibling.
“Sarah came up with the idea of creating memory boxes for bereaved children.
The idea behind these boxes is simple: provide siblings of gravely ill children or of children that have passed away with a personalized box where they can keep pictures and objects of their beloved brother or sister for years to come. The box can be designed by the bereaved siblings themselves to reflect the likes and character of their brother or sister, or in some cases by the sick children themselves. As difficult as it may sound sometimes older children with long terminal diagnoses take on an active role in the planning aspects of their memorial services or may do special things to say goodbye to their family members.“

In August this year, A Siblings Wish celebrated a year as a charity. With some fantastic news that the following organisations were helping to support the charity in their quest to help bereaved siblings have cherished memories.

A Sibling’s Wish is such an important charity. It does and will go on to help so many children who have tragically lost siblings.
It will give them memories and keepsakes that they can treasure all their lives.

September 7th, 2020: Louis met a cheecky little boy named Harvey in 2014 through his mom Johannah. Harvey had neuroblastoma and was very ill at the time. For the following 2 years Louis made sure Harvey and his family, including his twin Spenser and sister Olivia, were treated to holidays and special passes to 1D concerts. Unfortunately, Harvey passed away in November 2015. Louis posted the sweet tribute below for him on twitter.
The charity A Sibling’s Wish posted today on twitter a picture taken 4 years ago of One Direction wearing the gold ribbon pins of Childhood Cancer. Louis’ mom Johannah had contacted Sarah Hext, the founder of the now charity, saying she was heading to the USA to see Louis if she could send her some gold ribbon pins that she could give to the guys. And that’s how they ended up wearing the pins and being photographed in them, bringing much-needed awareness to childhood cancer. Johannah and Louis had both befriended Sarah’s son Harvey who had neuroblastoma at the time. Unfortunately, Harvey passed away in November of 2015. Louis honored Harvey after his passing by posting a picture of him on his twitter with the caption “Fly high buddy x” 🎗🎗🎗🎗

Today we are remembering Harvey Hext, who was a friend of Louis Tomlinson and his mom Johannah Deakin. Harvey passed away of neuroblastoma in November of 2015. Today it would have been his 13th birthday.
