I received an advanced reader copy of Every Little Secret from HQ, an imprint of HarperCollins UK via NetGalley, in return for my honest opinion. Every Little Secret by Sarah Clarke is a story about love, family and friendship. When Grace was younger, her parents sent her and her brother, Josh, to separate boarding schools. As a result, Grace and Josh were never close. In the summer of 2005, Grace, her best friend, Coco, Josh and a friend from school, Marcus, spend a lot of time together and all of have different memories of that time. Twelve years later, Grace and Marcus are married with a seven year old daugter, Kaia; Grace and Coco lost touch years ago; and Josh only returns to his parent’s home for Christmas. Following an accident, Kaia claims that Marcus is abusing her. Grace is in a spot- she can’t fathom that Marcus would harm Kaia, but she also can’t believe that Kaia would make this up. In need of a friend, Grace begins looking for Coco and even reaches out to Josh. Soon secrets of the past are catching up with present day and everything Grace thought she knew will be questioned. This was a terrific book with a unique storyline. The first half of the book moves slow, but stay with it- the pace picks up and the ending doesn’t disappoint. Every Little Secret is available now.
