I wanna spark some discussion:)
so
SOME OF MY HOT TAKES (Thwy aren't realy hot :( .) STRICLY ABOUT THE FEMALE CHARACTERS IN INANZUMA ELEVEN.
1. Fuyuka should’ve been a player, not a manager.
She had trauma, depth, and a personal connection to the main character — and they stuck her on the sidelines to hold a clipboard and cry pretty. Imagine if she played instead. Quiet, graceful, but dangerous. Ice-cold strategist vibes. The kind of midfielder who doesn’t talk just moves — and everyone scrambles to keep up. Her healing arc could’ve been through soccer, not just "Oh my god!! Im so shy". Instead, she was reduced to a soft-spoken NPC and a plot pusher. Wasted potential. Give her a position and let her break ankles.
2. Urabe Rika is the only character who actually brought ENERGY to the team, and y’all slept on her.
She was loud, proud, unpredictable, and loyal as HELL — and what did the writers do? They made her comic relief. She was more than her accent, more than a crush, more than a “lovesick gyaru lol.” Rika had leadership qualities, she had guts, she had RANGE. Imagine a version of IE where Rika is something more than a stupid blonde archetype. Imagine the chaos. Imagine the POWER.
3. Fuyuka is not “boring,” she’s just a victim of misogynistic writing.
People clown on her like it’s her fault she has the personality of a damp tissue — but that’s because the writers gave her NOTHING. She’s soft, sad, and supportive, and that’s all she’s allowed to be. If she had even one episode focused on her own wants, dreams, or god forbid, rage, she’d be a fan fave. But instead she’s emotionally neutered and slapped on Endou’s trauma arc like a sticker.
4. Aliea Academy could’ve been run by girls, and the plot would’ve been 10x more iconic.
Imagine if the cold, tactical genius leading Genesis wasn’t some generic old fart, but a sophisticated older woman. A hyper-competent, sharp-dressed, emotionally damaged young girl (Yagami Reina) who was trained to believe soccer is war. THE PARALLELS. THE POTENTIAL. But nooo, we gotta give that to another glittery sad boy with god hair. Cowards.
5. Zaizen Touko was built to be iconic and then dropped like a side quest no one finished.
Like deadass i thought that she will be an important part of the story. A sword-wielding rich girl who joins the soccer team to save her father? A girl that likes Endou and is the only one that FUCKING ACTS ON IT LIKE A NORMAL PERSON? THAT is a story arc. That is cinema. But the show barely let her speak after the second season. She had brains, strategy, guilt, and growth — and they said “okay girl you can stand in the back now.” UNFORGIVABLE.
So yeah...LETS TAAALK!!

Summary:
Some 100,000 years have passed since Earthians swept across the galaxy. By the year 9955 ATF after a catastrophe all but annihilates them, humans upon the ocean planet Imion are struggling to become space-worthy again. Two young men attending university vie for the role of Protector of All Worlds. They know that the godly power the Protector wields will save them all, and yet one day they wake up momentarily and realize... 60-year-old Armando Rivera and Ranvir Chandrani once loved each other. Stuck within a mental palace called ‘the Citadel’ within ‘the Boundless,’ an otherworld that reflects the galaxy in eerie dream-like ways, they are now 19 years old again and stripped of their memories. In these young forms, the two subconsciously test if this love between them was something true while attempting to take each other down. Their life has begun anew around them due to a time loop within the Citadel, and it follows their gentle, morose memories perfectly within the years 9955 and 9956, until... Until their families try to kill them. Until the children from the future begin to arrive. Until their son birthed outside the body with their Merged elemental outer cores—Antonio Chandrani-Rivera—insists on killing his identical twin brother Fernando Chandrani-Rivera. Ranvir and Armando very quickly realize that they must solve the mystery of what their true goals once were within the Boundless, figure out how to get out of the Citadel, and grasp why Antonio and his friends are intruding within. After all, upon the true planet Imion within the galaxy in the year 9996, a 20-year-old Antonio’s gone ahead and confronted his once-affectionate friend Alejandro Altaha—the Alejandro who became their generation’s Protector of All Worlds at the cost of Antonio’s worldwide reputation—and this has spiraled into circumstances that leave Antonio on the brink of death. Only for the bright and happy memories of Antonio's teens to flood his mind… Back when he and Alejandro Altaha cared deeply about each other, and yet the understanding they gleaned regarding their ancient selves—the civilian Nasir Hadid versus the Lost Protector Shakir—still colored everything, including their continued 10,000 year rivalry over the simple stakes of saving the world. And then there are the machinations of Antonio's cousin Layla… She laughs over their rivalry, but Antonio knows one thing: she hides secrets like breathing and despite their camaraderie, she is surely worse than Alejandro.
I don’t think I have mentioned this before, but my Au is gonna be build up in like arcs! At least, thats my plan. (though I am still a bit unsure about it im general)
If there are gonna be arcs I am planning it to be just two or max three.
I am saying this cause I just thought about it and realized it would be good for you all to know!! But if a new arc starts, you will definitely realize. So all art and lore you’ll see for now is gonna ne for arc 1 (with some tiny exceptions)
I do not know if I want to split up the fic in 2 arc as well. It would make sense, but what do sou guys think?
Anyway you will know when arc 2 starts because I’ll post redesigns of the cast lmao. Okay, not redesigns, but their looks will slightly change when the next arc starts. Of course their look change won’t be sudden, it will definitely gonna be mentioned in the fic (for example if someone gets a battle outfit changed)
It will still take time until the next arc starts though lmao…but just wo you know…I already know how their designs are gonna change…and i may like their arc 2 designs more than their designs now-haha.
ARC Readers Wanted
So one of the wonders of doing a hybrid publishing thing (aka Indie but not self published) is getting to have ARC ebooks to send out. A.R.C (advanced reader copies) are typically sent out for free 3-6 months before the book release, so we're right in the sweet spot.
If you are interested in a YA SFF novel that's like queer gothic ATLA meets Percy Jackson, this is right up your alley! Read the book for free, and leave a review on Goodreads (or Instagram or Storygraph) / wherever you leave book reviews. Ratings/reviews on Amazon are also much appreciated, all ideally by Jan/Feb 2026. The book is a little over 110,000 words (so a decently long fanfiction).
I have people I'm hoping / planning to send to as well, but I thought I might as well come to the almost 100 of you here first as a Big thank you for following and being interested in the book. If anyone would like to read the first chapter first before agreeing to an ARC, feel free to let me know here / in the form itself, and I'll get back to you!
Queer YA SFF, 110k words, centring on a group of reincarnated chosen ones trying to stop a war before it begins. Think queer gothic Avatar:
Here are some of the reviews the book has received so far:
BOOK BLURB:
Ally Hatten is tired of waiting to be believed in. As the Infran of Life, she's supposed to be one of Alvoskia’s eight admired reincarnated protectors—if she still had her powers. When the Infran Claiming ceremony comes to call, it seems she’ll be left behind. Again. But when war is brought to her doorstep, all of the Infrans are thrust into a world of deceptive politics on a ticking time limit: two weeks to travel to the enemy capitol and negotiate a peace treaty, or war will threaten their world like never before… whether they’re ready for it or not. Joined by her embittered twin, Jamie, the Infran of Death, and her friend / one-sided rival — the sweet-hearted Infran of Fire, Flames, a prodigy with a rare skill not seen for centuries — all three of them have demons to face in the city of Serkdan, with danger lurking around every corner. To stop the war before it begins, Jamie must confront the monster who raised her, and Flames the shadows of a past she can’t quite burn to ashes. And perhaps, Ally can finally find the secret to unlocking her powers, if the last Infran who was dormant like her isn’t the monster everyone says he is. Haunted by the Infran who went off the rails, and struggling to find her place in a world that seems determined to shut her out of it, Ally and the Infrans must rise to the challenges set before them, or risk losing the only family they have left: each other.
Preorders for both Ebook (around $7.00) and physical soft copies ($27.00) will go up in January 2026, if you're interested in waiting till then, or you like the ARC so much you want to buy it for yourself!
When you read at the table, so the ARC literally has you on the edge of your seat...
(Seriously, this is an urban fantasy vs actual suspense, BUT it's got all that glorious suspense you'd want in an action film. Shoutout to @daphnevermeer for writing this. The ARCs are open now!)
