The last time I posted a photo of Moonrise by @sarahcrossanwriter , I was on a book tour with @bloomsburypublishing and was only 100 pages into the book! I had a feeling that it would make me cry, and break my heart a little, and I can confirm that I was correct! . Up until the last few pages, I had no inkling of which way Crossan was going to take the story. I applaud her committment to the story and not giving in to the ‘conventional’ ending people would expect. I love an author with conviction, and the confidence to write the story they want to tell, not what they think they reader wants to read. Thank you @sarahcrossanwriter for such a beautiful story! . I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed reading in free verse! It certainly added a little extra to the story; the rise and fall of Crossan’s writing beautiful and has given me some confidence to try other novels in verse! . As a side note, if you’re ever in Paris and have time to tour the Opéra - the Palais Garnier - I highly recommend it! I feel as though I’m walking through a fairytale!
