"Look. Who's that?" Charles' head gestured over, chin brushing against Zeus' fur from the embrace before the dog took off running. He was left to stand, abandoned, smile greeting the actress as his growing pup tried to put his paws up on her, only to wind up standing on his back legs at the last minute from the clap of his father's hands. "He's learning," he assured over the small whine, "and believe me, you don't want him on you until he gets a bath, at the very least." Dirt covered paws showed as much before Zeus landed back on the earth on all four feet, tail wagging furiously before nuzzling against an open palm, certainly not the one that was wrapped around the strings of shopping bag.
"This is overdue, by the way," he went on, extending his arm out to her, the bag waiting for her to take. "It's not a present as much as it's finally replacing what I broke. There might be interest included, too, but I hope you didn't want the exact same phone. It was going to be difficult to find. Extinct things usually are," he teased.
