When I'm sad I just watch this video.
Had an awesome day at the Fantasy tournament yesterday! My team (the Tye Fighters) came in second in what was probably the tightest game of quidditch I've ever seen. It was and honor to play with such awesome people, several of which were quidditch celebrities like Steve Minnich, Sarah Woolsey, and Allie Nelson! As for today... it's date night with the rogue!
Kind of...
No.
Sarah also seems to like reblogging me tonight. AARON IS NOT ALONE.
Be a seeker and you can play on the trains.
Sarah Woolsey, everyone.
Gallivanting with Gameplay
Hello! My name is Sarah Woolsey and I'm the Formal Programming Director for QuidCon2013, the Logistics Coordinator for the Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship Committee, part of the Customer Service Team, and one of the members of the IQA's Gameplay Department. Working with the Gameplay Department (previously the League Management Council) is how I got involved with the IQA and one of my jobs that I am most proud of. The gameplay department, led by director Will Hack, has a variety of responsibilities, from creating policies governing gameplay throughout the league to developing the rankings system and more! The gameplay department houses the Rules Council, responsible for creating each new edition of the rulebook, as well as the Referee Development Program, currently hard at work certifying referees across the league as the season begins. We're currently working on a variety of important projects, including writing sections of the guidebook to be included with the next rulebook release, revising and updating the rankings system to be ready for when new official games are submitted, collaborating with the Regional Championship Committees to devise standard procedures and methods for gameplay in regionals across the world, creating policies for seeding into pools for World Cup VI, and more! The department meets every week to discuss issues across the league (our meetings almost always last at least two hours, sometimes up to four hours!), and we are a passionate group of people working to improve the sport of quidditch each and every day!
