the cool thing about historians is that all the real ones are not military historians. you would think there might be a discipline within historical study dedicated to examining the history of military engagements but thankfully that is not a thing. i am so glad we do not live in the nightmare alternate universe where there is a whole subset of historians who dedicate themselves to talking about wars.

That was the point of this post.

By any terms but American, I’m a centrist. I might even be closer to centre-right than centre-left, depending on the country and the issue in question. (Mostly because I’m very very squishy on economics, I know there is a lot I don’t know.)

Yet, by the standards of half of this goddamned country, I’m a flaming lefty radical loon because I think trans people should get to pee in the same bathrooms as everyone else.
