Our FIRST EVER Social Suplex Women’s 50 is LIVE!

Why did we make a list of 50 women wrestlers? Because lists are fun, but more importantly, there’s a lot of incredible women’s wrestling all over the world and we wanted to shine a light on those we enjoyed the most in 2025.

Make no mistake: many, if not all, of the best women’s wrestlers in the world are on the list, and the top 10 is pretty undeniable, but we also hope you learn some new names, check out their work and find a new “Special Little Guy” to follow and enjoy.

Ok time for my wants/speculations for the Owen Brackets

WOMEN FIRST! FOR REFERENCE, GREEN IS WHAT I WANT, RED IS WHAT I EXPECT!

First of all I'm super surprised at this bracket but I am not unhappy. Three joshis total, TK *might* escape the hates joshis allegations (not yet though).

With how Ospreay was set up to win the Owen last year initially, plus with how he's set up to win the Owen this year, I lowkey am expecting Mrs. Bruv to win this year. If she doesn't, I figure it'll be Athena because Mercedes won last year.

Willow has the TBS belt so I don't think she'll go particularly far. Sareee and Hazuki don't have contracts with AEW so I also don't think they will win (I would be happy to be proven wrong!). Athena is just a terror so sadly I think she'll win round one (though I'm HOPING that because Mina lost to her in ROH last year, Mina will get the victory).

If Mina didn't win I would be really happy to see Persephone win, but idk, if she's still injured to some degree, I dunno if I see it. But Perse vs Mina finals would go hard. If TK was a real one he would set up joshi vs joshi finals but i don't trust him.

I also don't think whoever wins the Owen will win the belt this year. Thekla is too dominant and honestly I'm fine with that. I *do* hope that it proves whoever (*cough cough* mina *cough cough*) wins is enough of a threat that Thekla is shaken.

But god, I just want Mina to win. She deserves to be taken seriously. She deserves to be more than just a joshi jobber who is played for laughs and sex appeal. SHE'S REALLY SKILLED, LET ME SEE SOME STARDOM ASS MATCHES FOR MY WIFE!!!

men time! this bracket is honestly kind of expected. i'm sad kyle fletcher is out on injury because he would've been great, and i'm also sad kyle o'reilly is still recovering from his injury because I think he would be GREAT for this.

yeah bruv is being set up to win. he's going to win. he's going to win the title at wembley this year for the pop. we all know this is going to happen. we all just need to accept it now

i wasn't really happy with how joe got the belt at full gear nor with the transitional championship he had to MJF, but I do love the man and would be happy to see him go far. I enjoy both Mark and Jack and would be happy to see either of them win but I think with how Mark took the national belt Jack will get that W over him.

I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE the other side of the bracket. imo swerve and bandido should be meeting in the semifinals for most dramatic effect after swerve's "i'm going to prove i'm the most dangerous man by killing this other cowboy-coded man". i would love to see a brody vs bandido friendship team kill early on for the dramatics it would have of both of them wanting to be champ and giving it their all against their partner and friend. think of the DRAMA TK, THE DRAMA!!!

i want to see bandido win so bad. he's the best. he's the cutest. he's the sweetest. even if MJF backtalked him, he still said he sees bandido as a world champion. GIVE HIM THAT! HE SHOULD BE THE WORLD CHAMP!!!

but bruv is gonna win. i dunno how i feel about it. for horny reasons and loose story reasons I dig the ospreay training with the death riders because it's just so loaded, but i HATE how over the death riders are for a heel faction (they should not be getting constant cheers over actual faces i'm sorry, i love mox too, but it should NOT be happening) and bringing in will just adds to that and i really don't like it.

ospreay is gonna win though, so yeah, not much to say about that. the men's world championship title scene has been a fucking mess since full gear last year and it'll probably continue to be that way for... who knows how long, until TK decides to let some new/fresh blood come in.

anyways that's my thoughts i hope you enjoyed them.
