Emperor Palpatine was the head of the sith/Dark Side Empire (formerly known as the Empire). Contrary to popular belief, Darth Sidious was not the charge of the Empire. Before Palpatine was Emperor, he was a senator under the charge of the Dark Lord. All I have to say is follows: ‘A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.’ How long ago? No one knows. Sargon of Akkad (c2250 BC) probably created the first empire. Sargon’s soldiers probably used powerful composite bows to forge his empire. The Composite bow was probably invented in Syria about 2500 B.C. On a sandstone stela found at Susa, Akkadian King Naram-Sin, (the Grandson of Sargon) is shown trampling his enemies. He holds what may be first picture of a composite bow.  A composite bow was made by gluing animal horn to wooden stripes to form inner side of bow then bending bow into a circle and gluing animal sinew to outer side. Horn section faced archer and compressed when bow drawn. The animal tendon on the outside of the bow provided tension.
