English teacher: you just wrote "savage" every time Lady Macbeth spoke
Emperor Palpatine was the head of the sith/Dark Side Empire (formerly known as the Empire). Contrary to popular belief, Darth Sidious was not the charge of the Empire. Before Palpatine was Emperor, he was a senator under the charge of the Dark Lord. All I have to say is follows: ‘A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.’ How long ago? No one knows. The fact that Sargon I was before or after the time of Palpatine, no one can be sure of. You may be speculating that Emperor Palpatine did not build the first empire, but that is false. When Palpatine was emperor, he finished the Death Star. (He also liked the color red). Following shortly afterwards, he proceeded to try to take over the Galaxy.
my student who had too much time to take his test
We could take or borrow words like cancer.

at what point in history do you think americans stopped having british accents
Actually, Americans still have the original British accent. We kept it over time and Britain didn’t. What we currently coin as a British accent developed in England during the 19th century among the upper class as a symbol of status. Historians often claim that Shakespeare sounds better in an American accent.
whAT THE FUCK
I’m too tired for this
Always add in the video that according to linguists, Native southern drawl is a slowed down British.
T’ be or not t’be, y’all.
Fun fact: Same thing happened with the French accent. French Canadians still have the original French accent from the 15th century.
Êt’e ou n’pô zêt’e, vous z’auts.
I’ve been trying to find this post for months. I’m freakishly obsessed with this and want the truth of what early colonists sounded like.
Whatever causes night in our souls may leave stars.

Are they getting more creative or do they think I'm that stupid?
Student: I can't exercise today!
Me: Why not?
Student: I have menstrual cramps.
Me: Really? Because you need a uterus for that and as far as I know you don't have one...
Student: What? I don't even have a uterus? This comes as a shock to me. Okay, I definitely can't go to gym class until I get myself a uterus. That would seem unsafe.
Test questions
Student: Well, we don't actually know when Emperor Palpatine lived so he could have actually had the first empire instead of Sargon I.
Me: ...
The fall of Rome
With the Huns invading Rome and it’s military dwindling, Rome was highkey a mess
Getting quizzes back
(after going over the answers)
Me: Do any of you have any questions?
Student: If I didn't know what the question was asking and I got it wrong, can I still get credit?
Me: No, I really can't give any credit back if you didn't give the right answer.
Student: But I didn't know what to answer!
Me: So you missed half a point and that's okay. You'll get it right on the test now, I'm sure!
Student: But if I knew what I was supposed to answer, I wouldn't have gotten it wrong.
Me: Exactly!
Student: So I should get credit back!
Me: ...
Test prep
Student 1: Which gods and goddesses will be on the test?
Me: Any of the ones we have learned so far.
Student 2: What about the ones we learned about two days ago?
Me: ...
Me: My answer to the first question hasn't changed.
