Hello, my name is Sarita and this is my main/art blog. I am an asexual zoologist drawing random nonsense on the side.

Here on this account I draw furry art, sometimes creature design, and very rarely fanart of things I like. Everything’s usually SFW and when it’s not I put it under a cut. I never post anything sexually explicit but keep in mind that I am in my 30s, if that makes you uncomfy. I also reblog things that don’t really fit on my other accounts. Sometimes I post my pets. It’s kind of a mess here. Something I’ve been wanting to redraw for a while. The original was drawn in February 2013… over 8 years ago 😬 I’ve always liked the sketchy, loose lineart and the pastel colors but my word the anatomy… that wing was a mess.

I also changed the child to Samantha, a character still in development but who will hopefully eventually be in the webcomic I want to write. She’s an orphan with a special connection to Ozzy.

Hi I did the OC spectrum meme by DustBunnyThumper on dA

I spent waaaaaayyy too much time on this lol.

The sexuality and romanticism parts were really confusing so I’m sorry that section is a whole mess 😬

Also height is in relation to their species not to other characters. (for example, Horatio is short for a griffin but obviously not literally shorter than Humphrey the /tarantula/)

Finally a nice standalone drawing of Ozzy’s parents! This is why I spent days drawing that size chart lol (Well, I’d wanted to make one for a while, this was just the final push.) Anyway, Cornelius the Grand, a Lammergryph originally from the Greek island of Crete, travelled Southward in search of adventure and ended up finding it in a small Maasai village in Kenya. When he and Siatamei first met he was absolutely smitten with her, and learned Maa just to speak to her. The largest Lammergryph in the world (and the 2nd or 3rd largest griffin in the world, depending on who you ask) Neil matches his size with an equally huge personality. He has a loud, thunderous laugh that you’re likely to hear often when in his presence. He’s not as gentle and careful as his son however, and lacks a bit of social awareness, but it’s hard not to get swept up in his tidal wave of energy. Siatamei, on the other hand, is the quiet, gentle pool of wisdom that completes him. She was born Maasai (which, in this universe, is a mostly human nation, but it’s not rare for them to take in other sentient creatures) and has lived in Kenya her whole life. She’s made a name for herself as an excellent midwife, not only of people but also cattle. Considered a mother to all, not only has she helped birth many babies and had many herself, but she also treats every child as her own with the same amount of love and care. Sia first met Cornelius when he was taking a tour of their village, just out of curiosity. He kept coming back to see her after that and, as she only knew Maa and Swahili at the time, he would sing to her. She couldn’t understand it, but nevertheless she found herself drawn to the strange, loud, giant griffin. They’re in love, and no doubt will be to the very end.

enchanted by the nautilus. 1 & 2?

Eheh soooooo… I haven’t drawn or done anything with Nautilusman in a long time lol. He was kinda just a Silly Little Guy I drew in my school notes in high school. 😅 He’s basically your average “object head” except the “object” is a Whole Entire Chambered Nautilus.

I had originally intended for him to be an Easter Egg/background character for my comic (yet unwritten) but eventually figured his presence may bring up more questions about the world than anything. But he’s still here as a fun memory of school doodles.

That being said, there’s not a lot of lore, but I will answer these to the best of my ability. 😅

1. How does your character handle trying new foods?

Nautilusman was always fairly quiet, refined, and straightforward. I imagine he’d be very open to trying new foods, and polite about it if he doesn’t like it. (After all, actual nautiluses are scavengers that eat detritus so he’s probably not too picky to begin with lol)

2. How would you describe your character's voice? Any interesting speech patterns or vocal quirks?

I have an actual answer for this one lol. I took Greek in high school, and used Nautilusman to help me study. But not really the actual Greek, no… just Greek letters. So he would speak in English but I’d write his speech bubbles with Greek letters, matching the phonetic sounds to the English words. So “Hello, I’m Nautilusman.” would be “Χελο, Ι’μ Νατηλασμαν.” (which would probably sound like “(Kh)ello, e’m Nawtelawsmawn.” out loud, if I’m remembering my pronunciation correctly… forgive me it’s been like 20 years)

I guess it would give him some kind of accent lol

If you’ve never done this test before, check it out. There’re several free ones you can do and the results are usually pretty accurate. And then let me know which character you share a MBTI type with!

FEAST Sullivan doesn’t like eating in front of people so he’s just kinda picking at his turkey awkwardly. Horatio is using drumsticks as actual drumsticks and Snitley can’t do anything about it or Sully will give him a DEATH GLARE. Sarita took too much food and will probably not be able to finish it all. Weeko will finish it all. Snitley’s mom keeps adding more food to the table even though Ozzy keeps telling her to just sit and enjoy. Snitley doesn’t know how he got persuaded to let everyone come to his house for Thanksgiving. Ozzy refuses to eat until everyone else has had their fill cause he’s a VULTURE and that’s what they DO dangit Happy Thanksgiving!
