Accidentally in love with you
It was so sudden. Blitzø didn't stand a chance. He was falling in love. And he was falling hard. And that was no good. Blitzø wasn't good with people. He ruined every connection he ever had with someone, from his sister, to his various exes. He was a terrible person and he knew it. And the human he was falling in love with, Sasha, was the exact opposite.
She was so...wonderful. And kind. And happy. And he was a piece of shit. And one way or another, he was going to ruin this too. It was inevitable really. So it's better for both of them that he gets the hell out of there before someone gets hurt.
He tried to sneak out of her apartment where he was supposed to be staying the night. He really tried. He was halfway out the window when he heard her sleepy voice.
"Blitzy? What are you doing by the window?"
Fuck.
"N-Nothing sweetiepie, it's all absolutely fine, go back to bed."
He was a terrible liar and she knew that.
"No it's not fine. What is really happening?" She wouldn't budge. Damn it all.
"Fine. I was...leaving. I'm no good for you. You can do better than me. So it's better I leave before it's too late. I wish you all the best." He tried to leave for good, but was stopped by her gentle hand.
"Do-Do you really think that? That you're no good for me?"
She was on the verge of crying. Shit.
"Honey..."
"Oh Blitzy. I am so sorry. I never knew you felt that way. If I had known-"
"You wouldn't be able to do anything. This relationship was doomed from the start. Look at us!" He was pacing now. "I'm a demon, and you're a human, and this was never going to work, I would ruin it all eventually."
"Do you think I don't know that? How bizarre we look together? I do. And I am not sorry. I never regretted meeting you or loving you. Never have, never will." She had this determined look in her teal eyes, and he knew she meant everything she had just said.
Fuck it.
"Sasha...do you really want this? I can't guarantee you how long this relationship will last. You know that do you?" He asked.
"I do."
Well ,this was it then. No turning back now.
"Then...I suppose I can stay the night then?"
"Always." She was finally smiling. He would burn the world for that smile. Maybe this could actually work out, Blitzø hoped. He'll try his hardest to make it work.
