I see some beautiful souls in this photo and I have to say that it was an absolutely majestic night in Regina at the Exchange last night. @reignwolf came home to Sasky and annihilated and slaughtered us blue collar rockers in the crowd. It is a knowledgable audience up here and they did not leave disappointed. If you don't know the guitar tone shred TANK meets vocal tornado of rock n roll that is Reignwolf - you don't know jack squat. Big ups to Danny Elder for first putting me onto Jordan's music and Redbeard for keeping us all in line 😂 #beauties - - I keep trying to leave for Nashville and the heavy hitters just keep coming home to Sasky and keeping me put. I am on a guitar quest right now after all, for the next 2 months at least I figure, so this seems fitting... what better way to kick off my knowledge quest than watching Jordan shred it up again and then heading to a Q&A with @toquerocks tonight with sasky rock royalty @toddkerns and @corychurko ? Remember when grant funding in #Sask was about cultivating artistic expression & culture? It takes time to see the effects of a strong artistic community come to fruition, but 7 years later I dare say, we broke through for our scene's artistic merit (not our cut throat "business knowledge" Mr. Government!) And I'm a super proud #sasky to see the scene exploding! ♡ Page 32 of a 45 page Final Report for the @saskartsboard I wrote dated Feb 9th, 2011: "I see great things ahead for Saskatchewan's music community, as every time I travel the country and the country to our south, I am confronted with musicians of all styles and backgrounds, in every different venue we play each night. I've seen hundreds of other acts, and it never fails to amaze me how impressive the local Saskatchewan artists are when I return home.  The talent is "through the roof" and the creativity is astounding. The unique sounds and expressions have nothing to do with emulating what is being produced by commercial record labels in the name of greed and big business. #Saskatchewan artists are not followers but leaders. They create art with sincerity, integrity, and a worldly intelligence. Perhaps a large multicultural background has aided in this, as it exposes the world to us right at our own doorstep. My true belief is that projects such as the tour I was able to complete in 2010 because of the support of the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the Culture on the Go program, are the key to establishing pathways for the sharing of this incredible artistic talent that is being cultivated in our province.  There is no doubt in my mind of the sheer quality and brilliance of what is being created in Saskatchewan. The main question that I believe we need to continue to investigate is how we will get these talents shared with people in the rest of the world.   It is important to share our messages and communicate our culture, and it is equally as important to see our creativity reflected off of others, and feedback and reactions to come flowing in.  This drives a creative evolution and exchange of ideas, and provides confidence and access to pursue our endeavours further." #saskatchewanmusic #saskmusic (at Regina, Saskatchewan)

Can't say enough about this guy! Big props to Kory Istace on a well organized, smoothly run, positive and easy going vibed, AMAZING Sunday afternoon where the Tom fan's gathered in great numbers at the Capitol Music Club in Saskatoon! It was another crazy special and crazy fun Tom Petty tribute show! We raised some money to help some people out, & we heard some beautiful bits of Tom's songwriting and ROCK AND ROLL from a multitude of talented local musicians. THANKS FOR ORGANIZING KOR! Last night was my first time playing in a hockey game in Canada outside of my regular Musician's Hockey League games. I trained at rec games in Nashville and Chicago for this moment 😅 Got the call to fill in for the great Nathaniel Vellacott out in White City last night. My big break!!! Happy to say we got the W! Gotta give credit to the guys...they were putting up some big points and the defense was on point. I think I sweated out 3 months of being on the road... greasy food, alcohol, stress... it all cleansed right out of me after 60 minutes of hockey! Big ups to Kenny "Barrel"zowski at the other end facing the onslaught. it was a hard fought battle!!!!
