con’t from here
He risked a glance behind him at his mom and aunts, knowing the Charmed Ones would have questions, that the cat was now out of the bag regarding his true identity… and wanting to keep them safe from his evil older brother. Protect your charges.
Chris might only be half-Whitelighter and preferred using his witch powers in a fight, but that was one Whitelighter instinct he’d inherited from Leo. At least his deadbeat Elder Whitelighter father had been good for something.
Turning back to his brother, Chris’s pale green eyes narrowed. “You wouldn’t believe me even if I told you. And I’m not hiding. Don’t you have more important things to attend to? Like ruling the whole of San Francisco?”
“Oh I’ve heard, the seerss are quite the gossipers.” He said with a chuckle. “My brother out to save me and a sister of a future that will be if not properly stopped.” His eyes fell on Melinda who was doing her best to put her brother, mother, and aunts behind her like she was used to shielding other people. Even looking at her, he could see how much his little sister was as much an embodiment of the best and worst in their family, though not nearly as much as Chris was. “How quaint, the power of three that was and and power of two that could be.”
Though it was obvious he was regarding all of his family, even the sister that shouldn’t exist at all. He was measuring up threats but he had little knowledge of what Chris and her were capable together. He didn’t like wild variables.
“Wyatt?” Piper finally asked. She obviously wasn’t sure what to believe.
“I’m surprised mother, you were so protective of your little peanut, Chris and now you look at him with loathing. Maybe you and dear old Dad weren’t as good as you claimed. Closer to Warlock and Darklighter than Witch and Whitelighter.” It was obvious Wyatt was offended on his brother’s behalf. Chris was still his brother no matter how misguided he was. “And you little sister, you’re quite the protector aren’t you. All about shielding everyone, and while--oh how delightful. Carrying the next generation of Halliwells.”
