Things were BETTER here, their family was still alive here. Roland was still alive here; even if he didn't know her. She would die before she let him ruin this world to.

"Victor why don't you run along, your mother and I need to have a chat." Wyatt was many things but he never did these things in front of children. He used them as leverage yes but he never raised his hand to one--one little spark of a conscience he had left. He had done a lot to make sure his family was safe even as they rebelled at the thought.

That laugh…. that tone… distant alarm bells went off in Chris’s memory—memories from another timeline—and he stepped back, tensed, readied himself to use his telekinesis and anything else he had against his brother.

“I wouldn’t say that. You, on the other hand… still the power-hungry tyrant, huh. Let me guess, you’ve crossed timelines to kill me?”.  

“Kill you, why would I kill you?   Just because you betrayed me and tried to rewrite my existence?   At least you didn’t start a revolution like Mels.”    He found so much amusement at how tense Chris was.    It was a tactic he had learned in the past, if someone expected a blow, they would do the damage themselves.

Also he had learned a thing or two from his sister.

Wyatt chuckled, it was dark, unlike the one that Chris would know in this life but another--well he’d remember it well.   “Well haven’t you become soft little brother,” he commented slowly stalking his way to him.

Hearing his son talk, he couldn’t help to braze him, hands on his shoulders and leaning backon the couch. “One thing I know about several lives is not to let the bad aspects of one govern the others.” David told Wyatt, “I have told you how you grandfather, King George, caused my real parents’ deaths. How he raised my brother to be a monster. Or how he cared for no one in the kingdom. Kings can be good, as you are meant to be. As I am sure, you as Arthur were. The Arthur I knew was awful so I better not tell you that, but you? My son, you are good. Past mistakes, out of fear, cannot be withheld. It was a different time. And magic was vastly used wrong at the time too.”

It was eating at him to want to correct him that mad King George wasn’t actually his grandfather.   “How do you know I’ll be a good king?   What if I go crazy with power or something?”   Because maybe he didn’t want to rule, maybe he just wanted to go to school and vanquish evil.   He still didn’t want to be king even if he knew he would be forced to go that route.   “Just because I’m good now doesn’t mean I’ll always be.”   And didn’t that thought terrify him.

“Oh this old thing?” Wyatt’s brain had immediately jumpstarted to ‘act like an idiot mode for survival mode’.   “I suppose you’ve seen a few people use it before me, right?”

“Not wrong,” David pointed, “just different. Each author gives their own take.” Why did he focused on that? Well, hard to ignore when you were a fairytale character first. “You are remembering a past life? You know that’s not crazy, Wyatt. You’ve read it in the book of shadows, the story of  Phoebe’s past life, or Paige’s. There’s nothing wrong… unless you’re remembering a serial killer and you want to kill,” he added, trying to lighten the mood. He hated to see his son feeling uncomfortable in his own body or mind.

Wyatt had a look that was 100% Piper or rather Snow White that basically said, are you crazy?  “Fa--Uther was closer to being a serial killer than I could.”   He was obviously offended by that idea.    “I never wanted to be King or even a prince, I would have been happier to be a farmer.”    Even if he had appeared to be the good son, the gloating prince.   Arthur knew what was expected of him.

“But I didn’t try to stop him, when he burnt everyone that he suspected to have magic.”

“That sorceress unlocked something in me.   A lifetime of memories.   I remember living and dying, having an entire life before I died in my best friend’s arms.”   God how had he not even realized Merlin was a sorcerer.    Maybe it was a mercy he had been such a daft idiot.  “Those stupid stories about King Arthur were absolutely wrong.”

“You’re going to think I’m crazy or it’s just some spell’s effects.”    Yes they vanquished the Dark Sorceress but his mind was still a mess.    He honestly wished that was the problem.   “I feel like I’m not just Wyatt anymore.”
