Journey Through Dimensions
@sassmaster-donatello
Leonardo had noticed the strange machine that Donatello had brought into the Lair. He had been working on it for days without rest and Leonardo had begun to get concerned. He slid into the lab, noticing that the genius was crouched over it. Yet he didn’t appear to be awake. It appeared as though he had overworked himself. Normally, Leo wouldn’t have touched the genius’s work, but the position the genius turtle was in looked uncomfortable.
Very carefully, since Don was a light sleeper, Leo lifted up the genius. He froze as Donnie’s hand brushed over one of the buttons. Don muttered but he didn’t awaken. Leo breathed a sigh of relief before carrying the genius over to one of the cots in his lab; lying him down on it. The leader turned to leave, until a noise brought his attention back to the strange device. He didn’t want it to awaken his brother, so he quickly hurried over to the machine.
But he never got to turn it off. As he neared the machine, a blinding light glared through the lab and the leader disappeared. Leo hadn’t realized that he had closed his eyes until he opened them. He panicked upon realizing that he was falling but he couldn’t reposition himself in time. He hit the concrete. At first, the leader was motionless; unconscious from his fall. When he came to, it was to voices of a young couple.
He tried to move, but he was in far too much pain. It felt like every bone in his body was broken. He heard the couple draw closer and grit his teeth, terrified that they might see him lying there. But their voices soon receded and Leonardo breathed a sigh of relief. I need to get out of here. I need to make myself move. Leo had no clue where he was, but the instinct to hide was overpowering.
