Similar to what a previous person asked, which should I take? ACT or SAT? I'm from a traditional ACT state, where plenty of classes and tutors are readily available for me to utilize for the ACT. However, it is encouraged to take the ACT and stay in our state school system. I have high aspirations for top schools like USC, BU, Emory, and many more. I don't want to take both of them, I only want to take the ACT or SAT and focus all my time and energy there. Which one should I take????
Take the ACT! It should be pretty obvious, but here’s my reasoning:
Top level schools? They don’t care about which test you took. Honestly. (Okay, wait, I take that back. Some might, but you can easily find out on their website’s application requirements page.) Some schools DO require you to take the SAT II’s, but I’m pretty sure they’re flexible between the ACT/SAT I.
You have access to plenty of classes and tutors for the ACT? Hello! Why stress about the SAT and self-tutoring when (most) schools don’t care and you can get help from some valuable (free!) resources for the ACT.
Also, look into USC’s scholarship program. The name of it escapes me, but they have this awesome scholarship, but the deadline is December of your senior year. I don’t know if you’re a junior or senior, but it’s just something to keep in mind.
how do you even study for SAT II's?
