She’d always been keenly aware of her magical heritage. Half retained memories of whispered chants and blood lettings that dimmed the colors of her sight, the family’s gift for seeing into the future sealed and forgotten, forever outside of her reach within the gardens of her soul. Being chosen to go to... hell as an exchange student, she first thought her father’s clan had finally found a way to get rid of her without a trace. But as it became clear that she was (relatively) safe in the Devildom, she figured these abilities might have influenced the decision to pick her. Especially considering Solomon’s presence.
Away from the prying eyes always hiding in the shadows, Alice was free to pursue her interests and expand her magical knowledge to her heart’s content. While the other human was a well of wisdom and experience, she quite liked perusing the library, discovering and piecing things together on her own as well. And that was how she found herself knocking on Satan’s door, a thick tome under her arm.
“I hope I’m not disturbing you?” She asked politely, greeting him with a smile and showing him her latest read. “I found this really interesting book on dark charms. I think it’s in an older form of Latin than I’m familiar with, though. I can follow for the most part, but I don’t want to miss the details. Do you happen to have a dictionary that could help me?”
