Often on nights when Satan fell asleep first, Simeon would go out the balcony and reminisce how his and Satan's relationship started.

Every year, a group of angels would go travel to the border between heaven and hell to extinguish demons that have lost their way while exploring or had purposely traveled there to cause chaos. They were forced believe that every demon is vile and had no right mind to think properly so they slaughter them all. Ignoring their cries and implores. 

And this year, Simeon turned 15 which means he's old enough to join the quest. He was thrilled to kill a demon. Thrilled to help his people. But before he could accompany his seniors, he had go through a trial. Although ho he had a hard time and it left quite a lot of bruises, he passed with flying colors including fifteen other angels his age.

After the test, they were given a month to prepare for the journey. Simeon waited impatiently, chatted about it 24/7, barely being able to sleep, counted every hour that passes and complained how time moves so slow. There was even a time when he got scolded for not paying  attention while someone was talking to him because he was too busy thinking about the mission.

Finally, after the long wait. A month passed and although Simeon was late because of oversleeping due to the fact that he couldn't sleep cause of excitement, he was still able to join the group. Thanks to Michael's skills for stalling.

Barely halfway to the border, they were already greeted by a group of what used to be powerful demons. Their powers got weakened due to the Celestial realm's divinity. Considering they made it this far, the angels concluded that they were near indomitable demons. Gladly,  they were easy to get rid of now.

After their encounter with the pack, more demons followed. Simeon was quite disappointed because they were told to stay behind and observe for now since it's their first time. But even tho reality didn't meet his expectations, he was obedient and stayed behind.

But that wasn't the case for his other comrade. While he was observing closely yet far enough, he saw his friend separate from the group at the corner of his eye. 

He followed her, hoping to drag her back to the group before she gets in trouble but as he was tailing her, a group of low level demons gathered around him. It was an easy win for the junior angel but because of the ambush, he lost track of his comrade Maria.

After the attack, it was suspiciously quite when he started to look for the teenaged girl. It felt like he was just flying around in circles. He marked a tree to see if it was the same before he continued on flapping his way to look for Maria. And when he saw the marked tree, it was there when it clicked.

The demon who plays illusions. They were taught all about it and the only way to defeat it is to stab it with the sword blessed with divinity. Lucky for the brunette, his sword was one of those who got blessed. Now, the tricky part is to find where the demon is.

After observing his surroundings, he sensed movement behind the bushes. He swiftly threw his sword like a dagger at the cause of the rustling. And just like that, circle way the illusion disappeared. 

Before he was able to catch his breathe, he heard Maria scream. The young angel immediately followed her voice and was led to a petrifying scene.

Maria was on the ground while a high level demon was ready to slaughter her. But before he reached the monster, a blonde figure who seemed to be their age, defeated the demon without a hitch.

After the demon's essence evaporated, the figure was seen more clear. They had horns of that a demon yet a figure of a human. But Simeon didn't take any chances, drew out his sword and pointed it at the being that's standing in front of him. But they dropped their sword and raised their hand, telling him that he was harmless.

But even after the creature's movements, Simeon still continued being cautious while slowly walking towards Maria who lost consciousness.

And before the being was able to explain themselves, Simeon's seniors called his name. And just right before the older angels found them, the blonde disappeared.

When they got home, Simeon was both praised and scolded. He was praised for his bravery and was scolded for not telling the more experienced angels that Maria detached from the group. But in the end, it went by smoothly and he got out unpunished. Well, Maria had a different destiny.

He continued to join the alliance year after year. Hoping that he could see the blonde again. But after years, there was no sign of them. Simeon started loosing hope that he'll ever encounter them again. 

But on this year's expedition, he caught a glimpse of a blonde head. He didn't waste a second and followed them. He flapped and flapped and before he noticed, he entered the demon's territory.

Without knowing the reason, his vision started to blur and breathing became hard. He was expecting to fall on the hard ground but before he completely lost consciousness, he felt like he landed on someone's arms.

Soon after, he woke up to an unfamiliar place. It was clean and lavish yet not the style he was used to. The theme was quite dark. A lot darker than the Celestial realm's architecture.

When he finished exploring the room, the door opened. He tried to grab his sword but it wasn't there. Before he was able to think of what to do, a much older version of the blonde kid he saw stepped in.

It took awhile for Simeon to calm down but when he finally did, Satan explained what happened and introduced himself. Simeon was still doubtful tho and Satan was well aware of it. So he offered to explain how demons truly lived and how almost if not everything they were taught about demons were false. Thankfully, Simeon agreed to it.

After a week of living at Devildom, he realized that demons weren't too bad. Especially Satan. But that doesn't mean he has truly let down his guard. He was fully healed now and was able to get back to Celestial realm. But just to be sure, Satan accompanied him towards the border. He didn't know why but it felt heavy when he walked away from the demon

When Someone got back, he was greeted with cheers and warm smiles. Even the higher ups came up to his return. But now knowing the truth, he didn't felt as comfortable as before.

A year has passed and like every year,  Simeon once again joined the expedition. But not with the same motive as before. Now, he wanted to find out about more about demons and spend more time at Devildom.

And luckily, Satan was just like waiting for him at where he found him last year. And like last year, he again followed Satan to Devildom. 

And this went on year after year until one day, Satan told him something he wanted to say for a long time. That he loved him 

And just like that, the once obedient angel lived with the devil and somewhat became a devil himself too. But not that he minded.

He giggled at his long flashback. After a few minutes of thinking about it again, he yawned and decided to go to bed.

Satan has been a reader for quite awhile and has read a truckload of books in the past but none of those books intrigued him as much as this one did, due to the fact that it had the same contents as the dream he kept on having on repeat.

While he was reading the book, he wanted to ask the author a handful of questions like, "How and where did you find the inspiration to write this?" or to ask if they had been having the same dream as him

After finishing, he flipped through the pages to find the author's name but to his luck, it wasn't written anywhere. He tried asking the librarian about it but she said that the book recorded in the archives, meaning it doesn't belong to the library.

After the librarian explained everything to Satan, he asked if he could take the book home and the librarian gladly agreed.

Tomorrow came and Satan decided to visit the library again.

While he was on his way to his favorite seat, he overheard a guy looking for missing his book

Soon after Satan was able to take a seat, the guy who was missing his book asked if he'd seen a green hardcover book with a hardbound bind.

Satan recognized the description of the book and realized that it sounded exactly like the book he found yesterday.

"Is this it?" Satan asked while showing Simeon the book

"Yes, yes! It is!" he replied while smiling brightly, all his anxiety suddenly all evaporated as soon as he saw the book

After giving the book to him, they introduced themselves to each other and the brunette identified himself as 'Simeon'.

Satan asked about how he got the idea and Simeon told him it was a dream that kept repeating ever since a few months ago. Satan then told him that he's been having the exact same dream that also started a few months ago.

After that, they decided to work together to find the reason why they kept dreaming the same dream and why it suddenly stopped when they met each other.

"What is it?"

"Well, a friend of mine suddenly told me that he's been feeling weird things around this guy lately."

"What kind of feelings?"

"Well, like whenever he sees him, he gets nervous and gets butterflies"

"Oh. Then, I recommend this 'friend' of yours the 30 days challenge"

"What's that?"

"Basically, you write down how you've been feeling for that certain person for 30 days and on the last day, you read through what you wrote and summarize it. If you think what you've been feeling is love, then you confess. If not then it's up to you"

"That sounds ridiculous but anyways, I'll be going now."

"Bye bye~"

The book of you and I

Summary: Long ago before the exchange program, Satan read a book about a love between a demon and an angel Words:541

A book was slightly sticking out of the shelf which caught the demon's attention. And because curiosity got the better of him, he took it and started reading the title.

'The book of you and I'

He has never seen a book as peculiar as this. The binding was in rather old condition yet the binding technique was something that was newly invented. The cover was also quite unusual. It was all black with golden marble design.

Without wasting another moment, Satan took the book and started reading it.

The contents were rather boring but there was something that made him continue on reading it. Like a siren's voice luring him to dive even deeper into the words of the book.

He got so lost in the story that he barely even noticed that it was already sundown and he was still around in the middle of the story

He desperately wanted to read the entire story today but he knew that he'd get in major trouble if he brings another book home and he can't continue reading here since he was just told that the library will have to close early today due to repairing circumstances. He placed the book in the shelf where he found it and he decided to just come back tomorrow and continue it then.

It was the next day and Satan went to the library and as soon as he entered the building, he started marching towards the shelf he left the book. He was quite excited finally to finish it. He wanted to know if the angel and demon managed to achieve their well deserved happy ending or will they lose and end up saying their last goodbyes and exchanging their last kiss but as he was about to take it, it was nowhere to be found.

He asked the librarian about it but it seemed like she doesn't know what he was talking about. He explained further and even summarized the contents of the book but the librarian was truly confident that no such book exists in her library.

Disheartened, Satan went back home with a solemn expression and re-read some books in his room instead

A couple of hundred years has passed and the exchange program had finally began.

And when the program began, Satan started having terrible deja vus and he even predicted that Mammon would get fooled by a human into a pact.

Although useful, in some cases, it bothered him immensely so he began to search for a cure and as he was trying to find the remedy for it, when he looked up from the book he was reading, he got caught in the most enchanting blue eyes he has ever seen.

He started walking towards the brunette, like a magnet pulling him closer.

Wait-

He remembers this somewhere

Deja Vu struck once again and this time, he also remembered why he knew all the future events. It was just the mysterious book he read a few hundred years back.

And as he recalled the contents of the book, he looked at the brunette across the room and he perfectly matched the description of his supposedly soon-to-be boyfriend. The one who he'll swear to protect until the end

I never meant to fall in love

Fighting our own feelings can be one of the hardest battles we'll have to face during our life time and Satan was well aware of that. But Despite that fact, he was determined to fight until the end.

He tried to avoid Simeon as much as he can yet despite his efforts, their paths somehow always managed to intertwine with each other.

He figured that he'd try another method in order to discard his so called feelings.

He tried to pick up a hobby in attempt so distract himself so that he can forget about his little crush on the angel. It was somewhat working but a week later, Simeon also took interest in the the thing Satan was doing and asked him if he could help. Which he agreed to.

All his current progress was thrown out the window.

Months has passed and the feeling grew enormous that it was becoming painful. So he finally decided to tell the brunette how he felt.

After their last class for the day, he Invited Simeon to go out with him to this place called "Moon's View," that just newly opened. It was a rooftop dining place that had the best view of the moon.

Simeon agreed since he didn't have plans for the night

While on their way there he was rather calm. At least on the outside but inside, he was rather nervous, shaking, panicking. But no matter how he felt, he knew that he had to do this now or never.

After they arrived and found a seat, the waiter gave them the menu and they started ordering. After they've chosen, the waiter listed their orders and while waiting for their food to arrive, they chatted about the hobby they both recently took interest in.

After awhile, the food finally arrived and they started to dig in.

Once they have finished eating, they both decided to stay and admire the moon for just a bit more. Which was Satan's plan in the first place. He was glad that it actually worked.

As Simeon gazed at the moon, Satan stood behind him, starting at him in awe.

Simeon glanced at him but gladly, he was fast enough to look at the sky. And as his heart pounds, he started admiring the night sky. Those dancing heavenly bodies that never seems to fade away, the shooting stars that's travel far and wide, freely exploring the depths of the universe. The full moon that's light never waivers, it truly was a celestial phenomenon. Just like the angel.

He looked at the angel once again and decided that it was finally time. He took a deep breath and started slowly walking towards the angel with shaky hands and called his name to get his attention.

Simeon turned to face the blonde demon and asked what the matter was.

Another sigh was released and he paused for a moment before nervously confessing his love.

Simeon's looked shocked and conflicted and he didn't really know what to do. So, he hugged him gently and apologized cause he already loves another man.
