With this sophomore record, the quartet, featuring Luke Von Fuzz ( Vocals / Synth / Keys / Theremin/ Flute ), Chris Guitars / Analog Synth / Sequencer ),Lory (Bass) and Max (drums), explores and rediscovers the depths of their sound, recurring to new directions and influences. Comprising almost one hour of sinister, scuzzy and catchy tunes, "Golden Dwarf" simply delivers a chilling experience, suitable for any horror doom fan and long songs apologists.
The beloved fuzzy & heavy riffs still perfectly merge and unfold altogether with the theremin sounds, giving the base to mind tripping solos. The slightly reverberated vocals tend to enhance the slow paced rhythms, accompanying flawlessly the grooves throughout the songs. Even when it gets quiet, it doesn't really get that quiet, due to all these menacing effects and eerie ambiances going around and entertaining your brain. This couldn't be a Satori Junk album if there wouldn't be time for a faster couple of riffs, even if they are a minority throughout the album, happening on tracks like The Golden Dwarf or All Gods Die. There is even time for a The Doors' cover, with "Light My Fire" becoming a way more doomier that we're used to know it.
