Mortal Kombat Headcanons (Hanzo Hasashi Edition)

As I said before in the Takeda edition, Hanzo is Papa coded as hell and no one will convince me that Satoshi didn't call him Papa too

Hanzo's favourite color is purple

His favorite animal is any kind of lizard, but mostly leopard geckos

Hanzo is scared of snakes (not a good combination with Takeda's snake obsession)

Speaking of Takeda, snakes, and lizards "Snakes are lizards without legs. It's creepy"- Hanzo, meanwhile "Lizards are just snakes with legs. They're both cute"- Takeda

Hanzo decked Kenshi at some point for just up and leaving Takeda with him (not because he doesn't like Takeda, but for abandoning the poor baby)

Hanzo has nightmares frequently, though not many people know other than Takeda and Kuai Liang, aka his boyfriend

Speaking of which, Kuai doesn't have a clue how to do hair, but Takeda has experimented with his own and has shown Kuai Liang how to do some of them so that Kuai can put Hanzo's hair up

And last but not least, Scorpion is actually a parasite-like attachment. He isn't a part of Hanzo's soul, but rather latched onto it. Scorpion is his own person (or demon). Think Venom and Eddie Brock type situation

While at the tournament, searching for his brother's killer, Kuai Liang notices the child sneaking around and grows concerned, eventually cornering him

Kuai Liang: Where are your parents? This is no place for a child

Satoshi turns, freezing in terror when he recognizes the Lin Kuei sigil. Shocked, Kuai Liang slowly kneels to be at eye level and pulls off his mask, raising his hand to show he means no harm

Kuai Liang: I'm not here to hurt you, I just want to help

Satoshi: No, I know what you people do, I won't go down without a fight!

Pulling a knife, Satoshi lunges, the blow easily caught by Kuai Liang, who softens at the accusation and the sight of the boy's rage. Satoshi struggles against the hold on his wrist, but can't get free

Kuai Liang: Who did we take from you?

Satoshi, angry, with tears in his eyes: Fuck you!

Kuai Liang: Was it your mother?

Satoshi: Shut up! You know nothing!

Kuai Liang: I know I wept like that when the Lin Kuei took my mother from me

Satoshi freezes, blinking at Kuai Liang in surprise

Kuai Liang: But I raged like you when the Shirai Ryu took my father, so perhaps it was him you lost

Satoshi flinches, shoulder shaking as tears stream down his cheeks

For the first time since the massacre, Satoshi lets himself breakdown, loud hiccupping sobs leaving him as he sags into Kuai Liang's arms, letting his enemy that is not an enemy soothe him like his father would

Kuai Liang, holding the sobbing child and speaking softly: You will survive this, you've come this far already.

He doesn't say it will be okay, because he knows from experience that it will not. But this child will live, Kuai Liang will ensure it
