Watching a walktrough of Mk deception really makes me wish Mk games brought Back The open world segments or atleast gave us a hub world (idealy More than one)
Like imagen being able to Pick a character and then walk around and Explore one of The in game locations, with possible secrets and lore.
And interact with npcs or other playable characters, either having The characters talk to each other or hear what characters think of each other.
It would Be so fun to Explore Maps like Shaolin temple, The Lin kuei grounds, Shirai Ryu fire gardens, Edenian Palace, The koloseum or some outworld location.
Or Explore Cage manssion, see bits of lore like:
Johnnys movie posters/merch of Those movies
News paper clippings of things like headliners about The Black Dragon or rumors about The Lin kuei clan etc
A bookshelf with stuff about gods, Monsters and powers as in universe facts and myths.
And lots of other things.
Also picture The manssion having a trophy room that starts off with empty shelves and wall space, but would then fill out as you compleate different Challenges or parts of game play as in game achievements.
Like a shelf that fills out with figures of each of The playable characters as you compleate their Tower ending (maybe with different colored bases based on how many Times you've done it)
Or a wall of posters/paintings to Mark each chapter of The story mode that has Been compleated.
The possibilities are endless
