Do you ever wonder if we're doing the right thing? Being here I mean, away from our clans?

Staring at her drink, mostly drunk she responded quietly, “All the time, but I need to be here to achieve my goals for the clan.  I couldn’t do it in the clan.  The Keeper gave me a choice to continue on the path that I was walking… or leave.”

Watching her lethallan’s eyes, she knew that she understood.  “I do still worry though.  I wish I could be there, but that is no longer an option.”

Have you ever tried this shemlen drink- Kinky liqueur, I think? It is an impressive shade of pink and strangely good

"Shemlen and their odd names…"  she giggled.  "I have never.  How did you figure that out?"  She eyed the strangely colored drink.  "And… how do they make it that color?"

I'm fairly certain Gamlen did /not/ say it was okay but... *slides her a beer* Fergus gave me my first beer when I was sixteen.

Charade blinked from the older woman to the beer and back several times in shock.  It wasn’t as though she couldn’t get a beer herself if she wanted (the bartender was pretty good about half-looking at ID’s) and it wasn’t as though she hadn’t already had several whiskeys.

She just hadn’t expected Elissa to encourage her… or be nice...

“Well shit,” she grumbled as she picked up the beer.  “And here I was all prepared to hate you…”  She glanced up from beneath her lashes and gave the other woman a shy smile, “Thanks…” she murmured as she took a drink.

So, off the record, give me a ballpark of how many times you've fooled the beat cops?

Charade considered the question for a moment, tapping her finger to her lips before she grinned and leaned forward, purring, “’Tween you’n me Ryry?”  She grinned and lifted her whiskey to her lips again, downing the rest before she whispered, “I never kiss’n’tell…”

Wiggling her brows and setting the glass back down, she turned and said, “C’mon Super-Detective-Guardswoman!  Time to dance!” and pulled the older woman toward the floor, already moving.

Charade choked a bit on the whiskey that she was currently tossing back and turned to face the person asking, then let out a breath of relief when she saw that it was Carver.  Shaking her head, she said, “Gods Carver, you sounded like your brother for a second there!  Stiff and serious!”

She giggled when his shoulders instantly stiffened.  Turning toward him, she gave him a slightly goofy grin and held a finger to her lips as she whispered, “Shhh, I won’t tell if you don’t.”  She winked and slapped the bar as she said, “Now, stop being so silly and buy me a drink handsome.”

“Garrett?” Bethany watched him for a few seconds, her cheeks tinted a deep pink from the amount alcohol in her system. “How much alcohol did you have? Perhaps you should go home, you are drunk” she said with a light giggle.

“Mother, please” she laughed as she tried to very drunkenly, but gently, shoo Leandra’s hands away from her face. Her cheeks were already red enough from the alcohol, they didn’t really need to be any redder.
