For days now the Turkish army and its FSA jihadist allies have engaged in systematic burning of the olive and fruit orchids of Afrin. In less than four months the democratic, multicultural and egalitarian Afrin region has been looted, burned, destroyed and bombed. Hundreds of thousands are displaced and left homeless. The deliberate systematic policy of targeting the trees, forests, orchids, mountains and valleys of Kurdistan has been implemented by Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria for decades in an attempt to stop resistance. By destroying nature, by burning and scorching the precious forests and sacred trees they attempt to destroy a resistance that lives in the hearts and minds of millions. We will plant trees again, as the ferocious fire of freedom burns ever brighter in our hearts, unquenched by their unending acts of terror. They fail to realize that we, my people, are the true gardens and flowers of Kurdistan!
