We did it! The mural stays! This was honestly the best thing I could've woken up to and I'm so proud of everyone who made it happen. Thanks to everyone who signed the petition and spread the word to each other. Thank you to Eric Garcetti and everyone involved in creating the mural. And thanks to Foster the People for giving us something like it to appreciate. WE. DID. IT.

So proud of the Foster The People fandom right now

Guys, we did it! We literally made a change in a mere two days. We were able to save the hard work of the people who painted it, the display of Young & Sick's incredible artwork and a visual representation of the incredible album. The mural was supposed to be painted over in less than 12 hours and we prevented that. Seriously guys, you should be proud of yourselves. Bless all who signed the petition;members of the fandom, casual fans, near to the mural and those who were far. Congratulation guys, we saved Supermodel!

#savesupermodel PLEASE HELP!

I know most of you aren’t in the foster fandom and I know this doesn’t fit in with your blog but please sign, we still need just over 3000 signatures and we only have until tomorrow! Please, this mural is so important to so many people. Foster the People, foster kids, or pedestrians walking by the mural, it has a story and a meaning and a purpose for everyone. It’s such a beautiful piece of art and hasn’t been around nearly long enough to make the impact it should. One of the goals Foster the People had for it was for it to stand there for years and years and become a kind of monument, a splash do colour to the city they love. If we let it get painted over, it will never achieve that goal. Please, I know a lot of people in other fandoms (particularly the Supernatural fandom) will see this and I’m asking you to take two minutes to sign and Reblog so we can save a beautiful and important piece of art! I know we can do this if we work together!
