Do warbeasts have actual consciousness? If so, has there been communication with them? Also, can they die or are they just resummoned by conjurers when needed?

As I call upon them, I can hear the song of the desert spirits within. They are mighty, fickle, and naturally destructive and come with great pride: communication is limited, but intense. To hear a Warbeast speak aloud is even rarer. There truly is only so much you can do to tame them.
They can be resummoned, though to refocus all of that Energy back together as soon as it has dissapeared is extremely taxing and time-consuming: if a Warbeast was ever slain on the battlefield, then it would be far after the battle was over before the same one could be seen again.”
