From Seiyuu Corner:
Twenty-six Japanese voice actors, including Ryusei Nakao, Koichi Yamadera, Fukuyama Jun, and Kaji Yuki, have joined the "NO MORE Unauthorized Al" campaign to stand against the unapproved use of AI.
They are raising awareness about the need to protect the rights of voice actors.
In a 20-second video titled "Part 0" released on October 15, Nakao delivers a powerful message, stating, "Our voices areour business tools and our very lives.
Please listen to the voices of us voice actors, who are being used by AI without our permission."
The description of the YouTube video elaborates on the campaign's purpose: "While new technology holds great potential to benefit humanity, we believe it's important to expand our
perspective to consider each other's emotionsand the future of culture. By fostering discussions, we can collectively reflect on how to responsibly use technology.
This video serves as a starting point for thoughtful discussions on how to embrace technology while considering its impact."
Although Nakao acknowledges the potential of generative Al to create new opportunities across various fields, he stresses the need for proper regulation and guidelines. "Instead of engaging in harrmful exchanges, let's hold peaceful discussions with experts to reach a mutual understanding and establish cultural rules" he added.
