We build oyster reefs we can't harvest cuz it's the right thing to do

Updated pic of a reef we are restoring on Long Creek next to One Fish Two Fish restaurant. It is one acre in size and on a very busy waterway. Although not open to harvest it plays a vital role in filtering the water from a nearby marina and residential area. This reef is also popular for fishing and those targeting bait with cast nets. Tis the season to save oyster shell. It's vital we get them all safely back into the water! Contact our friends at Lynnhaven River NOW. Save Oyster Shells (S.O.S.) for the Lynnhaven. If your organization (or you personally) have an oyster roast coming up, give us a call! We will pick up the oyster shell following your roast, and they will be cured and later used on a sanctuary oyster reef! Call 962-5398. Tell them we sent ya.
