Please tell congress we need help!! ☀️Link in Bio☀️ The Small Business Administration has stopped processing Restaurant Relief Fund (RRF) applications submitted by women, veteran, and minority owned businesses as of May 27th, in part due to lawsuits alleging discrimination against white men. As a woman, a veteran, and small business owner employing almost sixty people, I fell into the “priority” group that was supposed to receive funding within the first three weeks of the fund (I applied 30 minutes early first day the application opened). My application was not processed, and my business was not funded. I learned that the SBA disclosed in a statement last week that it would only start processing priority applications again after all other eligible non-priority applications were funded. Over $65 billion has been requested by restaurants, and the SBA only has $26 billion available. With my application now pushed to the “end of the line”, I have no choice but to advocate for the replenishment of the Restaurant Relief Fund.
