More information 🚨🚨🚨 I apologize for the lengthy text but I want to make sure you get all the information. ................. PLEASE EVERYONE– We now need to be calm and rational. The only thing that will sort out our current situation is conversation and again getting everyone around a table. Everyone involved has a clear understanding of how people feel. Most importantly this situation is unsettling for real people - musicians young and old. We don’t appear to be getting the seamless transition we were initially promised. The announcement of an extension was released prematurely (it did not come from The Cave or board members representing the Cave project) Hope (false as it turned out) has been replaced again with uncertainty. If any musicians are feeling anxious and need to talk to someone please send me a personal message - For some of my teenage musicians this is their first chance of any form of out of school activity and also a first hand experience of local politics. Young people need a calm stable focus in their life that our project usually offers them. We need to set a good example and try to pull together to all get the results we all require and to continue providing opportunities, we don’t need to be set impossible obstacles. I am trained to carry out general risk assessments and dynamic risk assessments. I am teaching musicians good practice when using the equipment on a day to day basis at The Cave. We have PAT tested equipment, fire risk assessment, fire alarms fully working and checked. I will be working with the Eastcliff/Cave board members and hopefully again the local authorities, Teignbridge DC & Teignmouth TC, to try and secure the continuation of our project until we find somewhere else or get built a new home. Please work together for the good of our town and music community. Many of my musicians, including myself, depend on this place and not being able to access it adversely affects them now. #savethecave https://www.instagram.com/p/B78fO6nHxV1/?igshid=14myek7ovb2e1
