There are only an estimated 120-130 Florida panthers remaining in the wild.  Any that I photograph have been the result of rescue and that remain in captivity due to inability to survive in the wild.  This makes the Florida panther one of the most critically endangered animals on the planet, the rarest of mammals.  I pray that we may turn this around.
