I don’t care what any one says, Dinah and Frank have had a connection since season one. She was having trouble watching him in pain and he was upset when she told him bets were off. Both wanted to say something to the other but their egos won’t let them

Dinah is Meant for Frank
Ok you all are going to think I went batshit crazy, and I probably have but this is my case why Dinah has always been better for Frank then Karen.
Karen: you can tell he sees Karen has a little sister or a really close friend. He only calls on her when he needs information. He wants to protect her from the world, not bring her into his. Karen wants to change him, she doesn’t love him for who he is, she did the same thing to Matt. She wants everyone to be what she thinks they should be.
Dinah: she is the yin to his yang. She’s not afraid to tell him off yet she accepts him for who he is. She doesn’t try to change him. She is just like Maria. She is Maria reborn for him.
At the end of season 1 she goes to carousel, where everything started for Frank, to try and help him. She got shot, like Maria but Frank put his own life on the line to stay with her so he wouldn’t lose her as well.
In season 2, he calls on Madani for help with the police. He could’ve called anyone. He could’ve called micro, he could’ve called Karen but he didn’t. He called Dinah.
They are real with each other. Neither one of them puts on an act to please the other. They accept each other for who each are.
And finally, though I can keep going, The last person Frank talks to before the end of the season is Dinah. The last voice he heard was the voice of a woman who accepted him like Maria did. Dinah is Maria to him.
