“If a family does not have the necessary economic resources to feed the entire family then they will select who to feed. Sometimes you get up to a point where a mother is literally forced not to feed certain members of the family, most probably the youngest one”.
DONT let these children be forgotten. They need us💜 #fyp #saveyeman #mufastamo

#Repost from our friends at @savethereef @download.ins --- CLICK THE LINK IN @savethereef BIO TO HELP YEMEN! Our Yemen fundraiser is nearly at 90% of our goals and we MUST help this country because while they were already dealing with a civil war, both a major cholera and coronavirus outbreak, widespread hunger on the brink of famine, torrential rains have now caused severe flooding and damage, compounding the problems for what was already the world's worst humanitarian disaster. In southern Yemen, 33,000 displaced people who were sheltering in camps have lost their tents and belongings in the floods, and in the impoverished western provinces of Hajjah and Hodeida, 23 people were killed or are missing over the last 24 hours along with 187 homes being destroyed. With floods sweeping away roads and dozens of cars, hundreds of newly displaced families have become stranded without access to food and dirty floodwater has contaminated wells that many Yemenis rely on for water. In the central province of Marib, a refuge for some 750,000 Yemenis, intense rains have hit 5,500 families, submerging their tents in water and mud and washing away all their food aid. The devastating floods have heightened the cholera outbreak, with 127,900 suspected cases across eight provinces while also accelerating the spread of dengue fever and malaria, as mosquitoes carrying the diseases breed in puddles. Please join us in praying for the people and families of Yemen as we MUST come together to help this hard-hit country, especially the children who have been hit the hardest. Please click the link in our bio and donate to our Yemen fundraiser, ALL donations are appreciated, great and small and if you can’t donate please share this post, make your followers and everyone you know aware of what’s happening here as these innocent people don’t deserve this and 100% of the money we raise will go towards providing them with food, medicine, clean water and shelter too! From @jim_abernethy & @wildlifevoiceinc Please do all you can during these difficult times to help our fellow Earthlings!#saveyemen #helpyemen #flooding #yemen #yemencrisis #karmagawa #savethereef https://www.instagram.com/p/CDQw_ZbJFJH/?igshid=1qdpvdegdheny
Here's a watch-to-donate made by haera shin in order to help with the ongoing crisis in Yemen
It's monetised and ALL profits go to Save the Children's Yemen relief fund. Don't skip the ads.
For those who don't know how this works, here are some tips in order to make sure the vid gets money
Phone: don't skip the ads. Don't 'minimise' the video. Don't mute the video, instead, plug your headphones in and keep playing. Keep the video playing. Don't pause it or click on sth else and go back to it.
Computer: don't skip the ads. if you don't want to listen to the sounds, mute your computer and not the video itself. Most of the phone criteria goes for computers as well. You can keep the video playing and open other tabs I think.
If you want to watch it more than once, watch 3-5 other videos and come back to it. Don't play the same vid on repeat. I also heard that putting it in a playlist could also be unhelpful.
If you don't have any money to spare, this is an option to help the people of Yemen, many of whom are now on the brink of, if not already suffering from, famine.
Finally, if you want to donate to Save the Children yourself, here's a link
I just donated to Save the Children to transform children's lives and the future we share. Join me.

Stop the war and end the famine in Yemen
Save Yemen
I am trying my best to stay calm and keep my nerves under control while writing, yet again, another note about what is happening currently in Yemen. A strong feeling of fury and wrath agitates my entire body when I think of the decades of war, the famine, the pandemic, the deadly epidemic, and the economic crisis that have all lead the health care system to collapse in there. I know videos and images of the devastating situation of Yemen have been circulating on social media showing barely the reality of what has been called the WORLD'S WORST HUMANITARIAN CRISIS in the last 100 years. But that itself is not enough to solve the problem, even if there was any coverage (which barely exists) it is still not enough to make an end to this. Given any spoken out speech about this traumatic overwhelming case, it must target the source of the issue, which of course, has and always been Saudi Arabia. I will not interfere in the political details cause it will take me hours to discuss every aspect of the evil work of a bunch of criminals killing children and bombing innocents when ceasefires are declared, but my disappointment in the rich countries that share the same language, religion, and culture yet still will do nothing to help or to provide the essential needs for Yemenis under famine and civil war. Those are the ones that need to be called out, especially with the global pandemic, it is a real difficulty for volunteers to travel to Yemen and help them out. Those nearby governments don’t care at all although they possess the money to at least build health care facilities and provide food, when they won’t use their power and convince their allies to stop the war. Any act of donation or petition-signing can help save lives in Yemen. If you can’t donate, join the global call and voice out the humanitarian crisis that this country is experiencing right now. I will share here carrds with information, petitions, documentaries, donations, and other forms of resources about the issue. Please don’t ignore this, it won’t take much of your time and it will definitely have an impact on the cause!
