These French Onion Soup Sliders are a tasty take on the traditional soup. They are made with buttery slider buns, savory ground beef, caramelized onions, and gooey Swiss cheese.
Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 1 tablespoon butter. 1 cup beef broth. 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Salt and pepper to taste. 6 slider buns. 6 slices Swiss cheese. Fresh thyme leaves for garnish.
Instructions: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add thinly sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 20-25 minutes. Pour beef broth into the skillet with the caramelized onions. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until the broth has reduced slightly. Preheat the oven to broil. Split slider buns and place them on a baking sheet. Divide the cooked ground beef among the slider buns. Top each with caramelized onions and a slice of Swiss cheese. Place the baking sheet under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh thyme leaves. Serve hot.
