Sawyer sat on a bench in the park, watching as Gregory played in the sand. Going to the park wasn’t his favorite of his fatherly duties but he knew it was important for his son to get out there and socialize with other kids. At least, that’s what his own mother kept telling him. He watched as the kid next to Gregory, started to put sand in his mouth and he rolled his eyes, moving to pick up his son to save him from this kind of socialization. He hadn’t realized how much force he’d used to pick him up and they quickly turned into someone, bumping them. “Oh, sorry. Guess we didn’t see you there.”
