Well now you made me want to ask…
The fic was pulled from the internet and published, so I can’t give you the actual song lyrics, but essentially the Netherfield men went off to their dinner with the militia officers (ETA: this may not be exactly when in the plot this happened, but it was during a meal with a bunch of other guys in Meryton) and other men from Meryton, and this song is sung where the Bennet girls’ potentials as sexual partners are summed up in verse. Pretty sure Elizabeth was seen as the most desirable. And my recollection is that none of the actual gentlemen at the table tried to stop this obviously very crass talk about the daughters of a gentleman (which may seem dumb now but would have been a matter of honor at the time).
The song was SUPER GROSS but this is the internalized misogyny fandom, so most readers (or at least most commenters) thought it was charming.
As a friend put it, that fic is a blight on the fandom. (Here’s a synopsis I posted previously.)
